The 2nd Collection on the first weekend of every month is for our

parish’s Capital Campaign. Through your geñerous support of this

As recently announced, our St. Vincent De Paul Thrift store is now

open serving social distancing procedures. We need helpers to pro-

vide assistance that our community needs so much at this time. If

you enjoy meeting people and might like doing some cashier work,

prepare stock, and/or display merchandise, please consider volun-

May 23, 2020 Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

Today we celebrate the solemnity of the Ascension of Christ into Heaven where He is seated at the right side of God the Father. Remember He promised to send us the advocate, the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit to strengthen us.

I write with excitement to let you know that the doors of our physical church will be opened for public worship, starting with the celebration of the vigil mass for Pentecost, which is Saturday, May 30th at 5pm. We have been longing for this day and we thank God for His immense goodness. At the same time, I would like to inform you that a lot of protocols and changes including delays would be anticipated to help us fulfil the required logistics both before, during and after each mass.

I humbly plead for elastic patience, tolerance, understanding and cooperation from each one of us. We need the virtue of humility now more than ever as this is the first time that we are facing a challenge of this magnitude. If we all work together, with patience and understanding, we can succeed as a family.

For the time being, we have rescheduled our masses to accommodate all the new check-in protocols as well as the sanitizing of the gathering spaces after each mass. The vigil mass will remain at 5:00 pm on Saturdays. On Sundays, the masses will be at 9am and 11am in English and 1pm in Spanish. Endeavor to be present at least 30 minutes before the mass. Entrance into the church will be on first-come-first serve. Note that the temple could hold only 50 people. As soon it gets full, we have overflow in Stone Mountain Room, Cry Room, and the Gym. Queridos hermanos y hermanas en el Señor. Hoy celebramos la solemnidad de la Ascensión de Cristo al Cielo donde está sentado al lado derecho de Dios Padre. Recuerde que Él prometió enviarnos el defensor, el Paráclito, el Espíritu Santo para fortalecernos. Escribo con entusiasmo para hacerle saber que las puertas de nuestra iglesia física se abrirán para la adoración pública en la víspera del Pentecostés (30 de mayo a las 5:00 p.m.). Hemos estado anhelando este día y agradecemos a Dios por su inmensa bondad. Al mismo tiempo, me gustaría informarle que se anticiparíamos muchos protocolos y cambios, incluidos retrasos, para ayudarnos a cumplir con la logística requerida antes, durante y después de cada misa.
