Letter from the CEO In The Name Of AllahSaudi Telecom Company (STC) gives social responsibility great attention and continues its national lead in this field by adopting social responsibility, sustainability and citizenship concepts in all works and activities, by doing so STC benefits from available development opportunities and maximizes their impact on the community. The Company seeks to achieve this by committing to its new social responsibility strategy that aims to enable technology, the youth, and women, as well as social investment in order to elevate the society towards the desired level of social and economic development and welfare. This will participate in achieving the National Transformation Program 2020 and the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision by employing and empowering the latest technologies and applications, in addition to transforming the national economy from traditional into digital. This will result in reduced operational costs in the public and private sectors, improved levels of efficiency and quality, contributing to diversifying sources of income and revenue, building community partnerships, and encouraging volunteerism for an effective and productive community. Accordingly, the Company’s sustainability implementation objective is attained with positive impact that will reflect on the community, the economy and the environment.Finally, I would like to add that STC is always keen to empower and serve the community to have positive impact while honoring its accumulated social responsibility experience at the same time.

Enabling Technology• The Company has taken part in creating and designing the “Clinicians”
application in collaboration with a group of Saudi Doctors that aims to simplify communication between doctors as they present and treat medical cases. This application includes two thousand doctors specialized in 45 different fields whom have contributed to the treatment of more than 419 cases across the Kingdom, helping them return to normal life. This program received the King Khalid Award in the Development Partners Category.
• STC provided the needed technical support for the Child Helpline Project 11611. This program is a leader amongst family safety programs that serves children in the Kingdom. It aims to protect children against violence and child abuse and raise public awareness on children’s rights through free consultation services for children and adolescents under the age of 18. The Company has technically enabled the program to be an easy communication channel for all hotline beneficiaries.
• STC provides the donation number service for customers to donate to Charitable Organizations in the Kingdom and enables them to fulfill their duties towards their community through programs and initiatives. This service includes 236 organizations listed below with corresponding donation numbers:

Empowering Youth• Collaborating with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and the
Technical and Vocational Training Cooperation, the Company established the National Entrepreneurship Institute. This Institute is a non-profit national center specialized in helping people interested in self-employment and owners of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of both sexes. This institute aided in the launch of more than 8,123 projects.
• Working with Prince Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk”, the company aims to establish an effective technical community, sponsor creative initiatives, enhance and develop educational, technical, media and cultural skills of the Saudi Youth in various fields of knowledge.
• The Company is working on empowering entrepreneurs, and providing them with the best technical services, consultancy and solutions to help them choose incubated projects via the InspireU program incubator. The numbers of companies launched have reached 18 startups.

• STC supported the “BIBAN” forum in Riyadh as a strategic partner. The forum organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), aims to create an attractive economic and competitive environment. In addition to enabling existing enterprises to grow and expand through the provision of technical solutions, material and moral support in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.
• The Company has supported the (Young Female Investor) event held at Tuwaiq Centre for Family Development in Riyadh. This event affiliates to the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, in order to empower families, children and adolescents to produce, invest, and display their products.

Empowering Woman• The Company has supported the educational gathering titled “Woman in Imam
University; Ambitious Leadership and Pioneering Creativity” that was organized by the Social Science College at the University. Attending the gathering was a group of female leaders, the female representatives of the Educational and Administrative Body and the students of the University. The event aimed at highlighting the leading experiences and expertise in the educational field.
• STC also supported Productive Families exhibitions in the Eastern region and in Al Madinah to empower women to work and produce in a dynamic and effective community.

Social Investment• Cooperating with the Ministry of Health, the Company has established 22
medical centers worth SAR 100 million distributed across the Kingdom for the benefit of over 3 Million visitors.
• The Company has supported the “King Salman Science Oasis” project in Riyadh in collaboration with Riyadh Municipality with SAR 50 Million. The project aims to provide scientific programs to the youth and children and empower them to take interest in the sciences and technical applications.
• The Company has contributed in establishing the “King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Centre for Culture and Civilization Heritage” in Riyadh with an amount of SAR 5 Million, to be a beacon for science and knowledge in the capital city of Riyadh. The company also participated with the citizens of Riyadh in their celebration of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Al Saud taking over the reins of the Country’s government.
• The Company has contributed SAR 6 Million to establish “Saafah Foundation for Transparency and Integrity” that aims at spreading and enhancing the values of transparency, integrity and justice.
• King Khalid Foundation (KKF) signed a strategic partnership agreement with STC, based on their shared commitment to enrich the community. The partnership aimed to increase the effectiveness of STC’s social responsibility programs while maximizing their impact by utilizing the expertise of King Khalid Foundation in planning and organizing development programs that benefit the society through innovative methods.

• The Company has supported the charitable investment project of the Disabled Children’s Association in Makkah (Khair Makkah) to achieve sustainable development for the Association’s programs and initiatives, through directing the revenues of the donations sent via messages to the number 5050 to build (The Saudi Telecom Company Customer Tower) which consists of 12 floors.
• The Company launched the (Communication is Our Responsibility) program to activate social partnerships with charitable organizations and associations at the “Hayakom fe Haykom” (Greetings in Your Neighborhood) event. Organized in a number of public parks in different cities in the Kingdom, the event provided charitable entities the opportunity to present their projects and initiatives to the public.
• The Company also supported The King Fahad National Centre for Children’s Cancer and Research, an integrated part of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh through sponsoring entertainment and educational halls dedicated to children who benefit from the Centre’s services.
• The Company supported “BENAA Summer Caravan 2017” a program launched by Benaa Charity Association for Orphan Care in the Eastern Region. The children of the orphanage all participated in the caravan that started from Dammam and travelled to the Southern Region carrying the slogan #TheirSupportisOurDuty. It aimed at conveying the message of loyalty and gratitude to our heroes in the Southern Region of the Kingdom.

• STC held the 2017 Communication Marathon inside company headquarters in Riyadh, stressing on the “Employee Comes First” and “One STC Team” values and aiming at spreading correct health knowledge and encouraging regular exercise.

• The Company has established many blood donation campaigns in its headquarters and in many areas across the Kingdom.
• The Company has also supported the “Third Companion” project organized by The Saudi Alzheimer’s Disease Association across the Kingdom, aiming at providing 100 satellite watches that track those wearing them with Alzheimer’s disease.

• The Company sponsored an awareness and early detection campaign for prostate carcinoma, in collaboration with King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh.
• Also, STC sponsored the integration forum for the development of slums, organized by Bunyan Women’s Association for Family Development in Riyadh. The Company emphasizes its social and humanitarian role in supporting specialized associations in this field.
• The Company hosted more than 100 children from Ensan Charity Committee in an open day through the Qataf Smile initiative and in collaboration with program partners (Al Hokair Entertainment Sparkys, Jarir Bookstore, McDonald’s Restaurants and Anoosh Sweets). During the day, children enjoyed activities offered by the partners while at the end of the fun day, a series of books and stories designed to develop their perceptions in line with their age groups were distributed.

• The Company has launched the “1,000 Volunteers Campaign” corresponding with International Volunteers Day to enable company employees to participate effectively in community service. This Campaign is in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision that aims at increasing volunteer numbers to reach one million. This is by benefiting from the experience, knowledge and skills of STC employees in various fields that give them means to create and add value in many fields of volunteerism through organizations specialized in charitable and humanitarian work.
• The Company sponsored the first Saudi Paralympic Championship in Riyadh where more than 300 players, representing 15 clubs from across the kingdom participated and competed in 8 different games, accomplishing big achievements and grasping high ranks. Such an event signifies the Company’s role in supporting and developing all sport activities, especially those of persons with disabilities.
• Finally, the Company sponsored the Cultural Street Festival in Riyadh for the second time, organized by the Municipality of Riyadh. This festival is a cultural program that includes various types of culture: reading, arts, painting, sculpting, and folkloric shows. Its events happen in an open area where all social segments can attend.
