A BIT ABOUT SEALANT TECHNOLOGY

SEALING OF JOINTS

PREVENT WATER FROM PASSING THROUGH JOINT

PREVENT INCOMPRESSIBLE MATERIALS FROM ENTERING JOINTS – thereby allowing free movement of slabs

WHY SEAL JOINTS?

Page 21: Corporate presentation

Materials are subject to Volumetric changes

Caused by changes in moisture content, temperature etc

These cause Movement

PYROCOUSTICSEALANT

Level 2 – Product Technical Data

Page 42: Corporate presentation

Pyrocoustic Overview

Pyrocoustic Sealant** is a one part, Intumescent acrylic emulsion. It is designed to resist the passage of both fire and sound. The sealant will intumesce and form a char that provides a smoke and fire seal when exposed to heat

** Intumescent Sealant, Mastic, Caulk

Page 43: Corporate presentation

Pyrocoustic Sealant

• Fire resistance up to 5 hours• An average sound reduction of 48dB• Excellent movement capability of +/- 10%• Cartridge packed makes product very easy to use• For use in Linear voids up to 50mm• Also available in 600ml Foils• White, Brown and Grey

Cable Coating

Page 54: Corporate presentation

Firestopit DMA Cable Coating is a fire resistant flexible waterbased ablative coating designed for use in internal applicationswhere there is a need to upgrade the fire resistance of electricalpower and command cables

Cable Coating

Page 55: Corporate presentation

• Protection of long cable runs in industrial buildings.• Protection of cables subject to risk of accidental ignition(e.g. steel works).• Upgrading the fire resistance of emergency commandcabling. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use without additionalenvironmental protection.• Independently fire tested to the requirements of IEC 60331-11--21 1999 for circuit integrity of electrical cable under fireconditions (>30 minutes circuit integrity achieved)• Successfully fire tested protecting a multi-cable bundle on aladder to the requirements of IEC 60331-3-22: 2000-Category A• Low dry film thickness required• Waterborne for easy application and cleaning of equipment• Application by spray or brush• Remains flexible once cured and is mould resistant• Halogen free, Non Toxic and does not contain ceramicfibres• Good adhesion to cables and associated supports• Excellent mechanical strength
