CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS
Why we exist:
39 million people in the world are blind.
80% of this blindness is preventable.
90% of this blindness is in the developing world.
How we work:
We teach medical professionals the skills necessary
to provide eye care to their own communities.
We do this through long-term programmes, local
partnerships and our unique ORBIS Flying Eye
Hospital; the world’s only ophthalmic surgical and
training facility onboard a plane.
What we’ve achieved since 1982:
• 305,000 Medical Professionals Trained
• 23,300,000 Medical and Optical Treatments
(Adults and Children)
• 925,000 Eye Surgeries/Lasers Performed (Adults
and Children).

ORBIS ENVISIONS A WORLD IN WHICH NO ONE IS NEEDLESSLY BLIND.
We need the support of dynamic corporate
partners willing to harness the power of their
organisations to change the lives of people
facing the daily reality of darkness.
8 in 10 people could see again if they had
access to eye care.
Help make this a reality. Tailored opportunities
range from sponsoring a specific eye care
project to donating goods or services.
You can raise money through sponsorship,
employee fundraising, cause related marketing
or nominating ORBIS as your Charity of the
Year.

expectations: when a mission is driven
by a vision so clear and compelling that
it literally enables others to see it too.
ORBIS is one of these”
Kofi Annan, former UN Secretary-General
