Global Partners & ProjectsIn keeping with our three main areas: children & families, education and marine conservation; Royal Caribbean has formed alliances with global and regional partners to leverage our donations so we may reach multiple communities.

We have joined forces with the Pan American Development Foundation to fund multiple projects throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. We

created Wishes at Sea, our program that grants wishes to sick children around the globe exclusively through the Make-A-Wish Foundation the charity partner for our Royal Caribbean International brand. On our Celebrity Cruises brand, we have aligned with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to raise funds for

research grants and awareness for the cause.

Through an alliance with the Pan-American Development Foundation, we have been able to broaden the reach of our community partnerships and assistance to include disadvantaged people and communities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Our partnership with the Foundation maximizes our reach to many impoverished neighborhoods and allows us to leverage resources to create a greater impact for communities with the greatest needs. In addition, crew members from our ships volunteer often with the Foundation’s many partners in our ports of call throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

G.I.V.E. DayGet Involved, Volunteer Everywhere, is our corporate volunteer program. G.I.V.E. Day is in its 15th year! Employees, friends and families as well as business partners join together around the globe to help charities and community organizations improve the quality of life in the neighborhoods where we have offices and our Ports of Call.

G.I.V.E. Day helps our employees engage in our communities around the globe; this

is the largest volunteer effort by a single company on a single day. Past projects include: renovation of schools, museums, parks, housing projects, mentoring students, visiting children in hospitals and environmental cleanups.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., which operates Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International established the Ocean Fund in 1996 to support marine conservation organizations in safeguarding the health of the world’s oceans.

The Ocean Fund’s mission has three parts:•Support efforts to restore and maintain a healthy marine environment•Minimize the impact of human activity on the environment•Promote awareness of ocean and coastal issues and respect for marine life

Ocean Fund grants are made annually to a variety of non-profit groups and institutions globally whose activities are directly related to marine conservation, including initiatives in research, education and innovative technologies. Since the fund’s establishment, we have contributed to projects that relate to ocean science, climate change, key marine species, education and innovative technologies.

Royal Caribbean response to the Haiti EarthquakeAfter a January 2010 earthquake devastated much of Haiti, we delivered more than 3,100 pallets (about 124 tractor trailers) of relief supplies on our ships, as well as more than $1 million in revenues from our facilities on Haiti, to help restore the nation.

We also established partnerships with relief workers and medical facilities in the area. With our private destination, Labadee, on the north shore of Haiti, we have had a strong presence in the country for nearly 25 years, providing significant resources, employment and foreign exchange.

To support the community in the long-term, we sponsored the building of a school complex near Labadee.

Royal Caribbean’s School On October 21, 2010, L’Ecole

Nouvelle Royal Caribbean was opened. One of the first schools to be built in Haiti after the earthquake. The strategically located 6,500-square-foot school complex is in northern Haiti near nine towns and villages.

The school will provide an education to children from the area, including classes in English and environmental stewardship. In the evenings adults will attend vocational training.

This first school is a primary school for grades kindergarten through 5. We are now in the planning stages for our next Haitian school-building project for grades 6 through 12.
