On behalf of the course directors, I invite you to attend Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) 2017. Building on many years of success, CRT 2017 will be our most cutting-edge and comprehensive meeting to date. The conference

features 14 concurrent meetings in 6 tracks of interest—Coronary, CRT Valve & Structural Heart, CRT Endovascular, Atherosclerosis & Research, and Nurses & Technologists.

At CRT 2017, you will interact with more than 550 world-renowned faculty. Other highlights

include 20 live cases from sites across the globe, simulators, hands-on workshops, and special symposia, all presented in an intimate atmosphere to allow frequent interaction with prominent experts in the field. CRT offers the opportunity to publish your abstract in JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions, present the best abstracts at CRT 2017, and attend the Abstract Café. In addition, presenters of interesting cases have the chance to become CRT 2017 Adjunct Faculty.

This year we dedicate a full day to innovation— a main theme of the conference. CRT 2017 incorporates sessions focusing on innovations across all of the meeting tracks, including the “CRT 2017 Best Innovation.” Two town hall

meetings with the FDA will be held to cover regulatory, critical pathways for device approval, and new pathways for device appeal.

CRT 2017 offers a four-day endovascular intensive course with a focus on endovascular interventions, chronic limb ischemia, and AAA. The meeting also includes extended sessions on radial access for beginners and experts. The four-day CRT Valve & Structural Heart track continues to be a leading US valve and structural meeting and features an in-depth review of the diagnostic and therapeutic options for the treatment of valve and structural heart disease.

The CRT Access and Masters Transradial Intervention courses will cover all access and

closure device options. You can also attend a special session on PCSK9 in the Atherosclerosis track.

The robust program at CRT 2017 allows you to iMPACT YOUR PRACTICE with educational content that can be directly applied to your clinical and academic practice. I look forward to welcoming you to Washington, DC, and to CRT 2017.

Warm Regards,

Ron Waksman, MDCourse Chairman, CRT 2017

COURSE INFORMATIONCOURSE DESCRIPTIONCardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) 2017 is a four-day conference that will focus on six subject areas—Coronary, CRT Valve & Structural Heart, CRT Endovascular, Technology & Innovation, Atherosclerosis & Research, and Nurses & Technologists. CRT 2017’s 14 concurrent meetings are designed to iMPACT YOUR PRACTICE with focused sessions that discuss new trial data; explore evidence-based research; and demonstrate cutting-edge techniques, which can be directly applied to the learners’ clinical and academic practice. CRT 2017 will feature over 550 world-renowned faculty and live cases from 6 sites across the globe.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES• Compare the results from important

clinical trials and evidence-based medicine to guide management of patients with atherosclerosis and structural heart disease.

• Employ new interventional technologies, drugs, and procedures into the care of patients with complex coronary and endovascular disease.

• Integrate advances in diagnostic evaluation and therapeutics to treat patients with carotid and peripheral arterial disease.

• Appraise percutaneous devices from concept through preclinical and clinical investigation, regulatory approval, and clinical application for the treatment of structural heart and valve disease.

• Describe appropriate pharmacologic management in the care of patients undergoing diagnostic arteriography and interventional therapies before, during, and after cardiac catheterization.

• Evaluate and develop an effective clinical research program.

• Discuss which stroke patients are candidates for thrombolytic therapy, and identify those who should receive endovascular thrombectomy.

TARGET AUDIENCEThis educational program is designed for interventional cardiologists, clinical cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, fellows, emergency medicine physicians, vascular surgeons, primary care physicians, basic scientists, radiologists, interventional radiologists, nurses, technologists, industry professionals, and other health care professionals who want to enhance their knowledge of complex coronary interventions and the treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease.

CME ACCREDITATION The Academy for Continued Healthcare Learning (ACHL) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGISTS AND REGISTERED CARDIOVASCULAR INVASIVE SPECIALISTS The Nurses & Technologists Symposium will provide Category A+ CE credit through the American Society of Radiologic Technologists.

MAINTENANCE OF CERTIFICATION FOR PHYSICIAN Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 38.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.

CREDIT DESIGNATIONThe Academy for Continued Healthcare Learning designates this live activity for a maximum of 38.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

DISCLOSURE Guidelines require that participants in CME/CE activities be made aware of all financial relationships that may be perceived as affecting the presentation of the faculty member. ACHL ensures that all faculty and staff involved in the planning, development, and implementation of ACHL activities disclose relevant financial relationships and that conflicts of interest are resolved before the CME/CE activity occurs.

Complete information will be provided to participants prior to the start of the educational activity.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTSThe CRT 2017 Abstract Committee invites you to submit abstracts of original investigations for consideration at CRT 2017. Abstracts should constitute original research (clinical studies, basic investigation, and animal studies are equally encouraged) in the field of cardiovascular medicine and intervention. The top abstracts will be presented orally at CRT 2017, and the presenting authors will be listed as CRT 2017 Adjunct Faculty.

CALL FOR INTERESTING CASESCRT 2017 invites you to showcase interesting and challenging cases for educational purposes. We are particularly interested in cases in Coronary Intervention, Endovascular Intervention, Valve & Structural Heart Disease, and Complications.

The top Interesting Case submissions will be presented orally at CRT, and the presenters will become CRT 2017 Adjunct Faculty.

CALL FOR CARDIOVASCULAR INNOVATIONSDo you have the next innovative cardiovascular technology? We are actively searching for the latest inventions, innovations, and therapies to be presented and discussed at CRT 2017. The interactive format of the Cardiovascular Innovations sessions will offer selected presenters the ability to introduce their technology to a panel of expert physicians who can comment on the innovation design, features, and potential benefits for both the patient and physician. Submit your innovations to be considered for the Best Innovation Award.

All Cardiovascular Innovations submissions will be reviewed and graded by the CRT Faculty Review Panel; selected submissions will be presented at the Cardiovascular Innovations session on Tuesday, February 21.

CALL FOR LATE-BREAKING TRIALSSubmit your Late-Breaking Trials for presentation at CRT 2017. Late-Breaking Trials are innovative reports that provide the latest breakthroughs in clinical science. The studies selected are expected to highlight new improvements for quality of patient care and significantly “iMPACT” the field of interventional cardiology. In addition to the exposure among colleagues and in the press, selected Late-Breaking Trial presenters will become CRT 2017 Adjunct Faculty.

CALL FOR YOUNG LEADERSThe Young Leadership Recognition Program is designed to feature current and future clinical and academic excellence in physicians practicing interventional cardiology and endovascular medicine. A special symposium, including current leaders in the field from academia, industry, and the FDA, will be held at CRT 2017 for the selected Young Leadership Recognition Program participants.
