The Connelly CupCornelia Connelly School’s highest

honor is awarded to the graduate who best exemplifies the Holy

Child ideal in Christian leadership, loyalty, achievement in studies

and dedicated service.

Emma Pearson

Head of SchoolThe recipient of the 2017 Head of School Award is described as unassuming and humble. She never puts the limelight on herself. Instead, she builds up those around her. She truly exemplifies the meaning of loyalty. At lunch time, she chose to sit with students from all grade levels. She always has a welcoming spirit. She is an excellent student who worked hard at all her rigorous subjects. She was always positive even when a situation was difficult. She knows how to get the job done. She was a retreat leader for three years, keeping in mind the wishes of her classmates in planning the activities. For Masses, she stepped up as an Altar Server and as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a member of the Robotics Team and captain of the Academic Decathlon Team. She was an intricate part of the soccer and softball teams, leading by example in the way she played and supported her teammates. This young woman has a winning and inimitable smile that brought joy to her classmates, teachers and to the Head of School.

Juliana Resong

died after a long, valiant struggle with cystic fibrosis. The award, established by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Vail, and her sister,

Joan, is given to a senior who has shown extraordinary ability in the arts along with high academic standing.

Alisa Huang and Domenica Diaz

Cornelian Leadership AwardLeadership is a gift to be discovered and nurtured. Many Connelly students come to the school with leadership potential, and during their years here experience many opportunities for the development and sharing of this gift.
