1 Corinthians 13:1If I speak in the tongues of
men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a
clanging cymbal.
2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all
mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a
faith that can move mountains, but do not have
love, I am nothing.
3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain
nothing.
5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the
truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres.8 Love never fails…
"If I speak in the tongues of men & of angels, but have
not love, I am only a resounding gong or a
clanging cymbal.”1 Cor 13:1
"If I have the gift of prophecy & I can fathom all
mysteries & all knowledge, ...but have not
love, I am nothing.“1 Cor 13v2
Luke 10:33 But a Samaritan, as he
traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.
v34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, … he
put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him.
35 The next day he took out two denarii and gave them
to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I
return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you
may have.’
John 13:34 "A new commandment I
give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
Phil 2:2 Therefore if you have any encouragement
from being united with Christ, if any comfort from
his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any
tenderness and compassion,
2 then make my joy complete by being like-
minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and
of one mind.
3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value
others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own
interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
