Fast Finishers Art Activities

Ways to use this fast finishers packet:

Allow students who are finished early to complete

activities from this packet. This will encourage

them to use their creativity!

Have the whole class do one activity together.

Compare and contrast the differences between

each work of art.

Use a sheet as a way of beginning a project. For

example, if a student creates a new character on

that sheet use that character to create a whole new

work of art that tells about that character. Or,

create a comic about that character.

Use a sheet as an ice breaker, bell ringer, or short

activity at the beginning of class or as an exit slip at

the end of class.


Draw what is holding up these weights.


Complete the rest of this scene & add color.


Draw what this wrecking ball is about to hit.


Draw someone to fill these shoes.


Create a radially balanced design. A radially

balanced design rotates around a central point.


Choose one word from each category and draw the image.

Example: Frightened Computer mouse

Computer mouse Embarrassed

Rock Jealous


Finish the rest of Monet’s The Water Lily

Pond.


Choose one of the following descriptions and draw an image of it.

1. A lazy frog.

2. A restless bumblebee.

3. A jazz loving baboon.

4. A clam who loves to tell jokes.

5. A giraffe dressed like a clown.


The artist Mondrian loved the primary colors. Color in

the remaining squares using the primary colors.


Edvard Munch created the painting “The Scream”.

Draw a new scene for his character. What is he

screaming about?


What is this guy screaming about? Draw the

scene from his point of view.


Using a ruler, keep adding geometric shapes

to this icosahedron until you reach the edge of

the page.


Practice geometric shapes by completing the

circle in boxes 1-4. Try drawing the compass

in box #6.


Create a design using Parallel lines. Examples

of parallel lines are shown above.


Create a new crossing sign. What will be

crossing the road?


Someone snuck into class and drew all over

Mrs. C’s board. What did they draw?


The Dagwood is an enormous sandwich with many

layers of different toppings. Draw your version on the

Dagwood on top of this slice of bread.


Design a billboard for your favorite product.

What will you advertise & how?


Jesse found a pirate’s map for buried treasure.

Draw the map on the scroll with the treasure.


Create your own art

gallery using the

frames.


Add a texture you would not expect to find

onto the cacti.


Draw the scene that is being photographed.


What can you see through the zoom lens of

this camera?


Design your own bridge using the line above

as the bridge’s base.


Draw the rest of the building that goes with these

columns.


Complete the rest of the patterns above. Then, draw your

own pattern in the box.


Complete the rest of this scene.


Draw something you couldn’t normally see inside the

magnifying glass.


Draw something you would not expect to see inside the

beaker.


Try drawing a light bulb using the step by step

directions.


Create a pattern of wavy lines of water coming out of

the faucet.


Draw three things that are inside your backpack on the

table. Then, design an unusual background for the

table. Where will it be?


Finish the line drawing started with this pen.


Add other “cool” items to this picture and color them

using cool colors.


Draw the scene that caused this sound.


Draw a genie coming out of the lamp.
