Not managing environmental conditions is one of the biggest threats to keep your computer room up and running
Temperature risks:– Small form size of systems in computer racks -> heat
increase– Computer rooms AC has often not been designed for today’s
cooling needs– Global warming– Temperature in a rack may not exceed 25°C – Often mistake is to monitor temperature in the room only!
– Operating temperature for servers should be around 20-23°C ≠ temperature in computer room / data center
