AF COLLAR

DESCRIPTION AF COLLAR is a fire-rated circular element designed to grant EI 120 / EI 180 (according to EN 1366-3) to walls/floors passed through by combustible pipes, insulated metal pipes and electric cables. AF COLLAR consist of a stainless steel case and one or more layers of highly intu-mescent material. In case of fire, due to the action of heat, the combustible pipe suffers a defor-mation and melts gradually while the intumescent part of the collar expands until the complete obstruction of the internal space; ensuring thus a perfect sealing against the passage of smoke and flames. CHARACTERISTICS Aspect: stainless steel circular element with one or more layers of intumescent material Color: silver Available sizes: diameter from 30 to 400 mm height from 30 to 200 mm Free expansion: >20:1 Activation temperature: 180°C FIELD OF APPLICATION AF COLLAR has been tested on: 1. Combustible pipes (PVC, PP, PE) 2. Combustible pipes with a maximum inclination of 45° 3. Combustible pipes containing electric cables 4. Insulated metal pipes APPLICATION METHOD 1. Open AF COLLAR and place it around the pipe on the fire exposed side 2. Close it by using its metal clip 3. Place it around the pipes/cables in adherence to the wall/floor 4. concrete walls and with self-tapping metal screws if applied on plasterboard walls

Fire-rated element for combustible pipe penetrations

DESCRIPTION AF COLLAR C is an innovative fire-rated C-shaped collar designed to grant EI 120 / EI 180 (according to EN 1366-3) to walls and floors passed through by com-bustible pipes that present a curved shape. AF COLLAR C consists of a stainless steel case and intumescent stripes (AF FIRE-FILL 50/70/100). In case of fire, due to the action of heat, the combustible pipe suffers a defor-mation and melts gradually while the intumescent part of the AF COLLAR C ex-pands and blocks the passage of smoke and flames. The particular “C” shape avoids the need to manufacture ad-hoc structures made of calcium silicate or gypsum slabs. DESCRIPTION AF MULTICOLLAR is a modular fire-rated collar conceived to grant EI 120 (according to EN 1366-3) to walls passed through by combustible pipes. It consists of a stainless steel linear roll and two or more layers of highly intumes-cent material. AF MULTICOLLAR can be cut to size and installed on pipes with diameter be-tween 30 and 250 mm. AF MULTICOLLAR field of application can be extended to insulated metal pipes, corrugated pipes, multilayer pipes and combustible pipes with maximum angle of 45°. When a fire occurs, the pipe suffers a deformation and melts gradually. Mean-while, the intumescent material FIREFILL 50 expands, blocking thus the passage of smoke and flames. overlap of the borders of at least 30 mm then connect it then with self-tapping screws

4. Secure the collar to the wall by using self tapping screws and to the floor by using metal expansion plugs

AF SLEEVES

Fire-rated wrap for combustible pipe penetrations

DESCRIPTION AF SLEEVES are fire-rated wraps designed to grant EI 60 / EI 120 / EI 180 (according to EN 1366-3) to aerated concrete floors passed through by combus-tible pipes. AF SLEEVES contain intumescent stripes, which under the action of heating, ex-pand until the complete obstruction of the opening. When exposed to fire, the internal material of the intumescent wrap quickly increases its volume and fills the space left by the collapse of the pipes. The ex-pansion of the AF SLEEVES blocks the leaking of smoke and flames. CHARACTERISTICS Free expansion: >20:1 Activation temperature: 180 °C Generated pressure : 10 Bar Thickness: depending on the diameter Height: 50 mm APPLICATION METHOD 1. AF SLEEVE B

Intumescent stripe for insulated metal pipe penetrations

DESCRIPTION AF SLEEVE B is an intumescent stripe designed to grant EI 120 / EI 180 (according to EN 1366-3) to the walls and floors passed through by insulated metal pipes (max diameter 200mm). AF SLEEVE B consists of a highly thermo-expansive material, which, under the action of a heating source, increases its volume and fills the space left by the melting of the insulating material. It can be used to seal the passage of bundles of cables and insulated metal pipes with polystyrene or polyurethane cupels both combustible and incombustible. Usage is recommended when the insulation of the metal pipes is not in class A1 with adequate degree of thermal insulation and the removal of the latter is not practicable due to problems of condensation and dripping. CHARACTERISTICS Free expansion: >20:1 Activation temperature: 180 °C Generated pressure: 10 Bar Thickness: 4 mm Height: 50 mm Length: 10000 mm FIELD OF APPLICATION The intumescent stripe AF SLEEVE B is used to protect against fire, walls and floors passed through by insulated metal pipes. (one layer for each 20 mm thickness of the insulating material on the fire exposed side) in case of a combustible insulating material. Wrap the AF SLEEVE B on layer for up to 30mm thickness in case of an incombustible insu-lating material.

AF SLEEVE B3 consist of a highly thermo-expansive intumescent material which, under the action of a heating source, increases its volume and fills the space left by the melting of plastic pipes. CHARACTERISTICS Free expansion: >20:1 Activation temperature: 180 °C Generated pressure: 10 Bar Thickness: 2 mm Height: 30 mm FIELD OF APPLICATION The intumescent stripe AF SLEEVE B3 is used to protect against fire the walls and floors passed through by combustible pipes with cables inside. AF PIPEGUARD

Flexible mat for uninsulated metal pipe penetrations

DESCRIPTION AF PIPEGUARD is a flexible mat designed to grant EI 120 (according to EN 1366-3) to the walls and floors passed through uninsulated metal pipes. AF PIPEGUARD has to be placed on the cold side of the wall/floor through which the pipe is passing by. The product has been designed to prevent the spread of fire from one compart-ment to another and to keep the pipe at a constant lower temperature (< 180 °C). CHARACTERISTICS Weight: 100 kg/m3 Average thickness: 7 mm +/- 10% Width: 240 mm Length: 5000 mm Non combustibility of the insulation: Class A1L APPLICATION METHOD 1. Measure the pipe diameter 2. Cut to size the needed length in order to completely cover the pipe 3. Wrap the metal pipe with AF PIPEGUARD and join the edges 4. AF BAGS

Fire-rated pillow for cable penetrations

DESCRIPTION AF BAGS are fire-rated pillows designed to grant EI 120 to walls and EI 180 (according to EN 1366-3) to floors passed through by cables placed on metal trays. They contain both intumescent and ablative compounds and are made with high quality fire resistant fiberglass covered on both sides. When exposed to heat (>180°C), the pillows AF BAGS increase their volume by about 40% and release water steam. This double action stops the leaking of smoke and flames. CHARACTERISTICS AF BAGS do not suffer damage neither from water nor from humidity. They have been proved to be mold-resistant. They are reusable, moisture resistant, and inedible by animals. FIELD OF APPLICATION AF BAGS are used to protect against fire the walls and floors passed though by cables placed on cable trays. WARNING Product for professional use. Always wear gloves when handling and installing the material. PACKAGING AND STORAGE Cardboard boxes. As long as the product is kept in a dry environment there is no time limit for its storage. APPLICATION METHOD 1. Measure the width of the cable tray and choose accordingly the number of

fire-rated pillows required to completely seal the opening 2. Place the pillows inside the cable tray by using the certified side of 120 mm

as the thickness of the wall, until reaching the complete obstruction of the cable tray

3. Seal the remaining space between the opening and the cable tray with the fireproofing panel AF PANEL and the fire-rated acrylic sealant AF SEAL W

SPECIFICATIONS Supply and installation of the fire-rated pillows AF BAGS. These pillows are made with a highly resistant fiberglass 200 g/m2 and treated on both sides with a poly-urethane resin. AF BAGS contain both thermo-expansive materials and ablative components that slowly release water steam. They have been designed to grant EI 180 to floors and EI 120 (according to EN 1366-3) to walls passed through by cables placed on cable trays. The system is also certified in combination with the panel AF PANEL (also treated on both sides with an ablative coating) and the sealant AF SEAL W.

Fire-rated cushion for cable penetrations

DESCRIPTION AF MASA is a fire-rated cushion designed to grant EI 120 (according to EN 1366-3) to the walls and floors passed through by electric cables placed on cable trays. AF MASA is highly resistant to cold smokes thanks to its permanent elasticity (sponge effect). When exposed to fire at a temperature that exceeds 180° C, the intumescent cushion forms an expanding carbon foam that seals the openings and blocks the passage of flames, smoke, and gasses. DESCRIPTION AF JUNCTION BOX is an intumescent stripe designed to restore integrity and thermal insulation to EI 120 walls that contain electric boxes. AF JUNCTION BOX is a pre-shaped thermo-expansive stripe that can be installed inside the plastic box without removing it from the wall. In case of fire, the intu-mescent material expands until the volumetric compartment occupied by the electric box is completely saturated.

AVAILABLE SIZES AF JUNCTION BOX is available for electric junction boxes up to the maximum size of 392x150x75 mm

DESCRIPTION AF PANEL is a ready-to-install fireproof panel designed to grant EI 120/ EI 180 (according to EN 1366-1/3/4) to walls and floors in presence of openings. AF PANEL is a high density (150 kg/ m3) non combustible rock fiber slab (class A1) treated on both faces with an acrylic ablative coating. AF PANEL can easily be cut and shaped with a knife or a saw. DESCRIPTION AF JOINT is a rock fiber element designed to grant EI 180 (according to EN 1366-4) to expansion joints having a width between 3 and 60 cm. Any building and fire compartment needs some internal gaps to compensate the natural expansion of its rigid structures caused by temperature and load varia-tions. In case of fire, these gaps are potential pathways for fire expansion and must be sealed with flexible fireproofing materials. AF JOINT is specifically de-signed to perform this task. Its flexible structure can compensate for dilatations/compressions up to 7.5% of the original volume. The product is supplied already treated with an ablative paint on both faces. Fireproofing foam for the protection of service installation penetrations and linear joints

DESCRIPTION AF FOAM RM is a mono-component fireproofing foam designed to grant EI 120 / EI 180 (according to EN 1366-3/4) to concrete floors with service penetrations or linear joints. Upon application it hardens and becomes highly resistant to fire. Each cartridge contains 740 ml of prepolymers in combination with a special blend of oils used as propellants. Its fast application and excellent adherence to most surfaces make it a very effi-cient choice to seal small gaps and holes. Its semi-rigid composition combines excellent acoustic insulation with thermal insulation properties. CHARACTERISTICS Density: 25-30 Kg/m3 approximately Temperature of application: min 5°C Time of creation: 20-25 min Resistance to temperature: -40°c +90°C Absorption of humidity: max 1% vol. Fireproofing foam for the protection of empty openings and service installation penetrations

DESCRIPTION AF GRAPHIT FOAM is a thermo-expansive foam designed to grant EI 120/180 (according to EN 1366-3) to flexible walls and rigid floors in presence of openings with and without passage of service installations. It is a two components polyurethane based material. Its special cartridge allows the simultaneous extrusion of both components. Once hardened, the AF GRAPHIT FOAM can be easily cut and shaped by using a knife or other appropriate tools. It is very easy to apply and it enables the insertion of additional cables later on. AF GRAPHIT FOAM can be used for max opening size 400x250mm. DESCRIPTION AF FIREGUARD 3 is a flexible mat designed to grant EI 120 (according to EN 1366-1) for ventilation metal ducts. AF FIREGUARD 3 is applied in a single layer along the entire length of the duct. The product is made with a rock-wool mat quilted of wire mesh and covered with aluminized polyethylene on the outer face. The inner face of the mat is treated with an ablative component protected by a fiber glass fabric. AF FIREGRILLE

DESCRIPTION AF FIREGRILLE is a fire-rated grille designed to grant EI 120 (according to EN 1366-3) to ventilation openings. AF FIREGRILLE is made of stainless steel. The outer structure is made of galvanized steel and a series of wing supports. On these wings is placed the intumescent material. When a fire occurs and the tempera-ture rise above 200°C the intumescent material expands and closes the internal space avoiding thus the passage of smoke and flames. The internal space reduction is 30% for dimension up to 300x300mm and up to 40% for dimension bigger than 300x300mm. CHARACTERISTICTS The available sizes are the following 300x300x100 mm 300x150x100 mm 300x200x100 mm 200x200x100 mm APPLICATION METHOD 1.
