Conference Venue: Cuartel General del Ejecito del Peru (CGEP)

• The pre-sessional meetings will be held at the CGEP from 25 to 30 November 2014

• COP 20/CMP 10 will take place from 1 to 12 December 2014

• All official conference meetings and official Side events will be held inside the main

venue

• Photo registration within 1 minute

• A valid photo ID should be presented to registration staff to receive pre registered badge.

Registration Opening Hours

• Tuesday, 25 November until Friday, 28 November 2014, from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m;

• Saturday, 29 November until Saturday, 6 December 2014, from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

• Sunday, 7 December 2014 - Registration will be closed.

• Monday, 8 December until Friday, 12 December 2014, from 8.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

• Saturday, 29 November or Sunday, 30 November 2014.

Registration

• For representatives who have already participated in previous sessions, an individual

delegation member or diplomatic mission staff may pick up badges for their respective

delegation.

• Persons collecting badges for an entire delegation will need to present a letter authorizing

collection, have ID against which the letter can be verified, and sign for badges received.

Safety Services.

Security and Safety Concept

Security ring concept

• Peruvian security forces will be in charge throughout Lima such as the airport and at hotel

venues and on the routes between the airport, hotels and the outside perimeters of the

conference venue.

Access control and security support operations

• All personnel entering the conference venue will be screened under the supervision of the

UN Security and Safety Services (UNDSS).

• A photo-barcode badge system will control access and egress.

• All persons will be screened, except Heads of Delegation at the level of Government

Minister and above.

• Fire and medical support facilities on site.

Security and Safety Concept

Vehicle access

• A shuttle bus service will operate along routes between Lima hotels and the CGEP. All

participants wearing a conference badge may use this facility.

• Head of State/Government motorcades under police escort will drop/pick-up the Principal

at the VIP entrance.

• Delegations headed by a Government Minister may request 1 decal to allow a vehicle

(max 7 seats) carrying a Minister to drop/pick-up at the Ministers’ entrance. These

vehicles will park in a designated area at the CGEP.

• Country Delegations are required to submit an official Note Verbal accompanying the

present application adequately filled in with indication of license plate and type of vehicle.

Both documents may be sent as of 24 November 2014 to the UNDSS Focal Point for

Decals Management at [email protected], or delivered in person to the UN

Security Office adjacent to the Conference Registration Area, as of 27 November 2014.
