Mission Statement

The Coordinated School Health Program Council’s mission is to coordinate the various components of school health and create specific action steps for improving the health and lifestyles of all students and staff.

Adopted new Vending Machine Policy, to promote healthier food and drink choices, in November 2004!

Revised policy and negotiated new Pepsi Contract in Summer 2008!

Chose to participate in YRBS, received School Board approval to do Passive Permission forms, and administered survey in April 2005!

Data received and reviewed through partnership with Ball State University!

Partnership with BSU!

Dr. Seabert’s CSHP class visited the Batesville Community School Corporation and then project groups prepared improvement plans for the areas of Nutrition Services and Staff Wellness!

Now participating in annual surveys of students’ attitudes toward alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (IPRC ATOD and CDC YRBS)

The CHOICES Program, a Parent Pledge regarding drug and alcohol use by their children and an Educational Program for both parents and children, was launched in Fall 2005.

from IDOE to hire a Director and two Assistant Directors

SPF-SIG - Received nearly $150,000 to utilize in both Franklin and Ripley Counties in the creation of an Epidemiological Profile and development of a Strategic Plan for addressing identified drug and alcohol-related issues
