Parent/Child
Parent/Tot ages 6-36 months: No skills required. Parent-assisted program designed to build elementaryswimming and safety skills. Children progress at theirown rate and have fun too! It is a great way to introduceyour child to the water.M/W or T/TH: 11:30 am – 12:00 pmSAT: 10:20 – 10:50 am
Preschool ages 3-5 years
Pike (Beginner): No skills required. Child will learn waterreadiness, to blow bubbles, to put head under water,proper kicking technique and to become independent ofthe swim belt.M/W: 4:00 – 4:30 pm or 4:30 – 5:00 pmSAT: 9:45 – 10:15 am or 10:15 – 10:45 am
Eel (Intermediate): No skills required. Child can float onback and front with assistance, can put face in water andswim with a flotation device. In this class child will learnto bob, fin on back and swim without assistance.M/W or FRI: 4:00 – 4:30 pm • T/Th: 6:15 – 6:45 pmSAT: 9:10 – 9:40 am or 9:45 – 10:15 am
Ray (Intermediate/Advanced): Skills required. Child canswim without flotation belt, glide and float, jump in thewater, and swim to the wall.In this class child will learnthe front crawl, elementary backstroke & treading water.M/W: 4:30 – 5:00 pm • T/Th: 6:15 – 6:45 pmFRI: 4:00 – 4:30 pmSAT: 9:10 – 9:40 am or 9:45 – 10:15 am
Starfish (Advanced): Skills required. Child can treadwater & swim 25 feet using a modified crawl stroke. Inclass he/she will learn survival floating, kneeling & sittingdives, & boating safety; learn to coordinate front crawlwith rotary breathing while swimming 25 yards.M/W: 4:30 – 5:00 pm • T/Th: 6:15 – 6:45 pmFRI: 4:00 – 4:30 pmSAT: 9:10 – 9:40 am or 9:45 – 10:15 am

Youth Classes ages 6-12
Polliwog (Beginner): No skills required. Child will beintroduced to the front crawl, front and back floats, put-ting his/her face in the water, and personal safety skills.T/Th: 7:00 – 7:45 pm • SAT: 10:55 – 11:40 am
Guppy (Advanced Beginner): Skills required. Child canblow bubbles, put head under water, float, and paddlewithout assistance. He/she will learn rotary breathing,develop front crawl stroke, sitting dives, survival float forone minute and treading water.T/Th: 7:00 – 7:45 pm • FRI: 4:45 – 5:30 pmSAT: 10:55 – 11:40 am
Minnow (Intermediate): Skills required. Child can swimone length of the pool using the crawl stroke, rotarybreathing and must perform the survival float for oneminute; will learn to build endurance, reinforce thefundamentals of front and back crawl, elementarybackstroke, and shallow diving. Rescue and safety skillswill be emphasized.T/Th: 7:45 – 8:30 pm • FRI: 4:45 – 5:30 pmSAT: 9:00 – 9:45 am
Fish (Advanced Intermediate): Skills required. Child canswim one length of the pool using the front and backcrawl stroke and dive. He/she will build endurance insurvival floating, treading water and lap swimming.He/she will be introduced to the breast stroke, dolphinkick and lifesaving skills.T/Th: 7:45 – 8:30 pm • SAT: 9:00 – 9:45 am
Fly Fish (Advanced): Skills required. Child can swim twolengths of the pool using the front crawl, back crawl andbreaststroke. He/she can survival float for seven minutesand tread water for three minutes. He/she will learnbutterfly, reinforce breaststroke skills, increaseendurance, and learn lifesaving skills.T/Th: 7:45 – 8:30 pm • SAT: 9:00 – 9:45 am
Shark (Advanced): Skills required. Child has excellentfront and back crawl as well as good coordination inbreaststroke and butterfly; can survival float for 15minutes and tread water for four minutes; will increaseendurance; will learn starts, turns, lifesaving, strokedevelopment, surface dives, advanced rescue skills,personal safety, and first aid.T/Th: 7:45 – 8:30 pm • SAT: 9:00 – 9:45 am
Adults ages 13+
Adult Beginner/Intermediate: Designatedto develop basic swimming skills for thenew participant and to refine skills for themore advanced swimmer.T/Th: 7:45 – 8:30 pmSAT: 10:55 – 11:40 am
