The Lopal palletizer is an automatic, floor-level palletizer for applications where high-level case conveyors, incline conveyors and platforms are neither feasible nor desired. Its rugged, unitized frame is designed and built to the same exacting standards as the high-level infeed series. The Lopal palletizer can be off-loaded, moved into position and

Features and benefits

• Product infeed is available in one of four standard configurations. Design case infeed elevation is 3’-0”. A two-piece, rough-top belt is also included.• Automatic pallet handling. Pallets of up to 48” x 48” in size are standard.• Floor-level design provides ease of maintenance. All case and pallet handling can be viewed at floor level.• Layer-forming system accepts rows of product and forms layers directly onto the slide plate. This plate, which elevates or lowers, shuttles into position and gently strips layers onto the pallet

mechanically installed by the owner’s personnel with less than a single shift effort. Energy efficient, it unitizes pneumatic and electrical power, producing and exceptionally quiet design. The Lopal is engineered to be user-friendly, and allows ready access for adjustment and maintenance of components at floor level.

4SPLX MKI

The SPLX MKI is the newest member added to the SPLX family Premier Tech Chronos. The MKI is the smallest SPLX of the group, but don’t let the small footprint fool you. The minimized design cuts down on cost, but the MKI can handle the same pallet and load sizes as the rest of the family of palletizers. The SPLX MKI also utilizes gentle product handling, as well as a user friendly design. The MKI can handle cases, shrinkwrapped trays, and shrink

wrapped pads, in a wide range of shapes and sizes. The open back design of the pallet dispenser allows the addition of pallet stack staging conveyors to increase total pallet capacity. The SPLX MKI is a completely automatic machine constructed of heavy structural steel and formed steel members welded into a rugged compact frame.

Economics of motion and mechanics: The SPLX MKII palletizer utilizes simplified mechanical systems to provide smooth and gentle case handling, while still meeting speed requirements. A case turner cushions cases during turning, and the friction belt live roller decelerates the cases prior to contact with the vertical case stops. The SPLX MK II is ideal for handling a wide variety of fragile packages, such as un-supported shrink-wrapped bundles, bales and thin-walled cartons.

All mechanical components, including the rake, pushover and hoist drive, are located within the frame of the machine, resulting in a clear, unobstructed top. The open top makes it easy to add top-mounted equipment such as tie-sheet dispensers, gluers or strappers. The pallet magazine is open-top for high capacity and easy access.

Flexibility: The SPLX MK II has a rake backup which easily adjusts for changes in pattern and product size. It is part of

a low-profile, four-way compression system that produces a perfectly centered layer on the stripper plates. The SPLX MK II forms virtually any stacking pattern, including interlocking, column stack, overhung and under-hung loads.

Economy of maintenance: Key components of the SPLX MK II are essentially maintenance-free, and all are easily accessible through removable guards and doors. All systems are designed for easy access and safe entry when prescribed safety measures are followed. All pneumatic controls are centrally located for easy access, and there are no costly hydraulic systems to maintain. The friction belt live roller utilizes patented tapered hex shaft rollers for quick and easy replacement. Pallet conveyors utilize removable UHMW chain wear strips. The SPLX MK II exceeds all standards for reliability set by the original SPLX.

The VG2200 palletizer is the obvious choice

While improving the manufacturing quality by standardization of components and sub-assemblies, the basic requirements for improved operator safety, improved controls, minimized maintenance and decreased noise have been met. A quieter operation is achieved through the use of UHMW and Nylatron for chain guides and idlers. Belt-driven product conveying rollers are smooth, quiet and low maintenance. All major mechanical components, including the hoist drive, are located within the frame of the machine. The VG2200 features a pallet hoist designed to accommodate up to a

4000-pound load. The hoist platform is raised and lowered at four connection points. Since speed, accuracy and dependability are three key factors in this design, the hoist is powered by an electric motor through worm gearboxes which employs a unique oil shear brake. An easy-to-use operator interface replaces push buttons and selector switches. A touch screen display provides all the machine functions for automatic and manual operations, pattern selection, pattern status, alarm messages, fault indication by device and maintenance messages.

Enhanced diagnostics and elimination of unnecessary components make the Formula VG easier to access and maintain. Individual takeup and hollow-shaft gear motors are used wherever possible.
