OUR FARMCerezas ArgentinasCerezas Argentinas S.A. is located in the Argentinean Patagonia,
and has been mainly dedicated to the production and
commercialization of cherries, other fine fruits, and seed-fruits,
such as pears and apples, since 2008.
The company holds more than 750 hectares dedicated to fruit
production, planned with the firm purpose of strengthening and
boosting up the development of fine fruits production as well as
other complementary productive activities in the region.
PatagoniaSoil, as well as water resources, and climate, represented key
indicators when selecting the location for the project to be 18
kilometers from the town of Chimpay, in the region called
Middle Valley in the Province of Río Negro.
This better-quality area of the Northern Patagonian region
represents one of the most important areas for fruit
production, distinguished especially by its excellent conditions
for the production of fine fruits.
FRUITPRODUCTIONCherriesFavorable growing conditions allow for optimal ripening of fruit
firmness, color, flavor and size, factors that guarantee an
excellent post-harvest result, placing the product at the level of
most demanding off-season markets.
Accordingly, the productive matrix was oriented towards
production of early maturing varieties, allocating 50% of the
200 hectares of the project with varieties of this type (Santina,
Royal Dawn, Chelan and Brooks), and complementing with
middle varieties (Stella, Bing and Van) and late (Kordia, Regina,
Lapins and Sweetheart) on a smaller scale, which makes it
possible to extend the harvesting period from early November
until December.
Pears and ApplesAt the end of cherry-picking by the end of December, the
harvesting of William pears begins, followed by other varieties
of pears (Peckams) and apples (Brookfield) and ending with the
harvesting of Rose Glow varieties in late April.
The cultivated area was designed to allocate 400 hectares to
apples and 150 hectares to pears, in order to ensure greater
participation in the global market.
NATURAL BEAUTYEden FruitCerezas Argentinas is doing a thorough job of field afforestation
and ornamental plantings, including walking paths, flower

visitors the opportunity to indulge in the scenery while touring
the facilities.
In this way, one of the characteristics of the cherries plantation
is that each variety of the fruit is identified by heads of roses of
different colors.

In “Estancia La Irma”, you can also find a mud house that dates
from the year of 1860, as well as the oldest rural brick house in
town, dating from 1883, which will be restored with the
purpose of provide a unique accommodation experience in a

CORPORATE POLICYQualityQuality management is a key priority for each initiative of the
company. For this reason, our production meets the
requirements of the GlobalGap standard, a certification that
ensures access to the most rigorous markets, ensuring the
quality and safety of the product, as well as environmental and
social responsibility of the firm.
Additionally, the company implemented a policy of continuous
improvement and personnel training and welfare plans,
promoting the development and modernization of each sector.
EnvironmentCommitted to the highest standards of quality and
environmental care, we develop solutions that enable a better
use of resources to avoid potential negative impacts to the
environment, as well as contributing to the forestation and the
designation of conservation of native fauna areas within the
establishment.
Quality management is a key priority for each initiative of the company.
OTHER ACTIVITIESBeekeeping Beekeeping, which arose from the need to ensure adequate
pollination of fruit woods, became a productive division by itself
that currently consists of over 500 hives, spread over eight
apiaries located in different areas of the farm.
In this way, the company provides domestic pollination service,
and rentals to other private owners, with the ultimate goal of
producing honey, propolis, pollen, and in a second stage, it is
projected to be registered as a cabin offering commercialization
of queen-bees.
Poplars Nursery Given the need of protecting the fruit forests from the negative
effects of the wind, the company began to develop a breeding
ground for the spread of Poplars species, which now consists of
more than 120,000 poplar trees for self-sufficiency as well as
for sale to third parties.
Complying with current regulations, the nursery is registered in
the National Seed Institute (INASE) and the National Service
for Food Health and Quality (SENASA).
Other activities arose from the needs of fruit production.
OUR PLANTATION Technology In order to achieve high production levels and to fulfill the
company’s promise of Quality excellence, planting is performed
through intense automation: laser land leveling, construction of
internal roads, new canals, and installation of flood and drip
irrigation equipment, whose efficiency is enhanced by the great
use of the available water flow.
Currently, Cerezas Argentinas S.A. has its entire irrigation heads
with electrification, which makes it possible to bring water to
areas where previously not possible. Additionally, in order to
mitigate weather risks that could affect the quality of final
products, a spray irrigation system for frost control has been
implemented.
InfrastructureThe establishment counts with resources installed for each
production and industrial activity. The final project includes a
packing plant for the automation of the fruit with an optical
classifier sorting by color and size, modern processing lines, an
area of sanitation for quarantine processes, and cooling and
freezing cameras for optimal product storage.
This better-quality area of the Northern Patagonian region represents one of the
most important areas for fruit production.
The establishment counts with resources installed for each production
and industrial activity.

through intense automation: laser land leveling, construction of
internal roads, new canals, and installation of flood and drip
irrigation equipment, whose efficiency is enhanced by the great
use of the available water flow.
