Feb 2019 Position Description Role title: Office Administrator and Project Manager Reports to: President of CDH Australia FTE Equivalent: 0.4 (6-month contract with the possibility for extension) Days /hours per week may fluctuate according to events (i.e. less initially but increase closer to events or key project deadlines). Location: Work from home About CDH Australia: CDH Australia is a national health promotion charity for congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). Our vision is for no family to face CDH alone and our mission is to improve the lives of those affected by CDH, support and advocate for families, raise awareness and support research. About the role: Reporting to the President and working alongside key volunteers, this role will be responsible for the following: Maintain momentum of our signature awareness day, CDH Sunflower Sunday, as a platform for awareness and a significant fundraising source Develop and promote year-round fundraising, including support for community fundraisers (campaign and third-party) Acquire and manage internal and external stakeholders, including event ambassadors and volunteers Manage events, including digital communications and general administration tasks including: database records and database management (iMIS, MailChimp) Assist the Treasurer with bank reconciliation financial data and maintaining records as required. Key Responsibilities This is a key role for CDH Australia, supporting our volunteer-driven organisation to achieve key targets and deliver services. We require an organised, autonomous, results-driven person with proven project and relationship management experience, exceptional written and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects. Not-for-profit and fundraising experience is highly desirable. Key responsibilities include: 1. Design and deliver CDH Sunflower Sunday, including project management, budget, fundraising, key relationships, volunteer management, marketing and PR, and board reporting 2. Further develop a fundraising strategy with appropriate platforms, collateral, services, etc. to enable individual fundraising events 3. Plan how to leverage and profile our CDHA Ambassadors

4. Establish volunteer team and recruit for the organisation, based on appropriate operating model / organisation structure

5. Provide general support, including IMIS data base, CDHA website and CDHA social media activities

Qualification and Experience

• Experience working in a small not-for-profit and/or community sector. • Experience in fundraising campaigns. • Demonstrated experience in database management and website

development, preferably iMIS. • Demonstrated experience using MailChimp and social media. • Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Word and Excel; • Confidence utilising Wordpress, Everydayhero, Mail chimp, Sign Up

Genius, Survey Monkey, Later.com and Canva.

Key Selection Criteria

• Tertiary qualifications or experience in fundraising, project management or marketing

• Proven relationship management experience and success in driving new revenue.

• Highly resourceful and motivated, and able to take a leadership role in project management: plan, problem solve and task prioritisation

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write reports, deliver presentations and targeted letters

• Excellent organisation and administration skills with demonstrated success in campaigns

• Ability to work autonomously and maintain confidentiality • Proficient understanding of the fundraising industry standards and

regulatory requirements • Knowledge of CRM databases, in particular iMIS, will be highly regarded.
