important RulesFINANcIAL AID rEPEAT cOUrSE POLIcy**

The Department of Education has set a limit on the number of times a course can be repeated before it is excluded from a student’s enrollment status for financial aid purposes. Once a student receives passing credit for a course, that course can only be repeated one more time to be included in the enrollment status for a financial aid disbursement. For purposes of this regulation, a “passing grade” is considered a D- or better. Any course for which a student is enrolling for a third time after having received a passing grade will not be included in the enrollment status for financial aid purposes.

PLEASE NOTE: The restriction applies only to instances when the student receives a passing grade for the course; students are allowed to repeat courses without a limit for financial aid consideration for any failed or withdrawn course until a passing grade is received. Once a passing grade is received, the above policy will apply.**The above repeat course policy applies only to determining a student’s enrollment status for the disbursement of financial aid and is separate from the institutional aca-demic policy regarding course repetition and enrollment into repeatable courses.
