Background of Study: Typhoid fever is one endemic disease of Indonesia. Increasing trend of the incidence of multiple drug resistant (MDR) in the area of India and Southeastern Asia including Indonesia increases. Date (Phoenix dactylifera) contains some chemical substances such as flavonoid, saponin, alkaloid, and tannin as antimicrobial substances. Research Objective: To prove the effectiveness of antimicrobial of date fruit extract (Phoenix dactylifera) toward Salmonella typhi in in vitro way. Research Method: A true experimental research design with post-test only control group design. The research method was tube dilution test with a concentration of 100%-0% to determine Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC). The data analysis used ANOVA, correlation and regression. Result: MIC and MBC were found at concentration of 25%.
