Barney is married to Bjork, a very famous singer from Iceland. Matthew Barney (1967- )

Barneys epic Cremaster Cycle (19942002)consists of five feature-length films that exploreprocesses of creation.

Its conceptual departure point is the cremastermuscle, which is part of the male reproductionsystem.

As the cycle evolved over eight years, Barneylooked beyond biology as a way to explorethe creation of form, employing narrativemodels from other realms, such as biography,mythology, and geology. Matthew Barney
