New Scientology Brochure Published on International Day of Happiness

A new brochure on The Way to Happiness was released by the Church of

Scientology on International Happiness Day to help accomplish the goal of this

new United Nations Day.

In honor of the first International Day of Happiness March 20, 2013, the Church

of Scientology has released a new brochure, putting the means to accomplish the

goal of the celebration into the hands of individuals, NGOs and government

organizations in countries around the world. The brochure is Scientology: How

We Help—The Way to Happiness, Creating a World of Honesty, Trust & Self-

Respect.

On June 28, 2012, the United Nations General Assembly directed the

International Day of Happiness to be celebrated throughout the world each year

on March 20 in recognition that “happiness is a fundamental human goal.”

The opportunity to enjoy happiness is threatened, however, and too often

thwarted by a moral and ethical crisis of epidemic proportions evidenced by

rampant crime and drug abuse, corporate greed, political misconduct and

international conflict—all the product of dishonesty and immorality.

The Way to Happiness: A Common Sense Guide to Better Living by author,

humanitarian and Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard, addresses the cause of

these problems. The Way to Happiness is a nonreligious moral code based on

common sense that provides a path a person of any background, culture or

creed may follow to attain a happier, more prosperous and more fulfilling life.

Immensely popular since its first publication in 1981 and available in 109

languages, more than 100 million copies of The Way to Happiness have been

distributed in 205 countries and territories.

The brochure describes the use of The Way to Happiness in the home, in the

workplace, on crime-ridden city streets, and in times of turmoil and war to deter

conflict and violence and establish calm, tolerance and respect. It also covers

tools available to educators, mentors, civic and community groups and parents to

help them put The Way to Happiness to use: an award-winning feature-length

The Way to Happiness book-on-film, public service announcements, an

educator’s guide, and The Way to Happiness website and online educational iPad

App.

Honesty,Trust & Self-Respect is one of a series of brochures presented by the

Church of Scientology International to meet requests for more information about

the Scientology religion and its support of global humanitarian initiatives and

social betterment programs.
