Dr. Hislop was an excellent presenter. She pre-  sented her ideas with such clarity and poise that the teach- ers got a clear understanding on how to prepare students  for the exams. It helps students to clearly state their position and applying debating tools, substan- tiate, articulate and defend their position. Reciprocal Teaching This workshop focuses on a form of cooperative learning that is designed to increase reading com-  prehension skills in students. Participants will learn how students can be taught to predict, ques- tion, clarify, and summarize – the four strategies of reciprocal teaching. These reading skills have been known to dramatically increase results in reading comprehension.  Differentiated Instruction in the Classroom  This workshop focuses on teaching participants how to create lessons that can be differentiated accord- ing to the product, process, or content. Integrating Technology into the Education 

The workshop focuses on teaching the use of smart-board technology in the classroom and other educa-tional software. Participants will leave with a pleth-ora of resources that can be utilized in the class-

room for grading, tracking students progress, andcommunicating with parents, students, and families. 

Using the Socratic Method in the Classroom

This workshop focuses on strategies that include

 schools and research proven strategies for turn-ing around failing schools including diagnosing

Components of Effective Teacher Feedback  

This workshop teaches participants how to use to Danielson’s framework to evaluate teachers. Participants will look at each component andlearn how to rate teachers from ineffective tohighly effective. Participants will also practice

rating teachers and calibrating their findings.
