Transcript of Construction of the contents page
Construction Of The Contents Page
I added my ‘Contents’ title in the same font as my masthead in order to look professional. I also added the date of my magazine as well as the masthead.
I added all my coverline and text in separate text box’s, all in which was placed in the rule of third layout.
I placed my images on to the page to fill out the white spaced.
I changed the background of the editorial and some of the text to orange as I felt the page was lacking colour. I also changed the background of the headings like ‘Music’ to bright blue, as this maintained my colour scheme.
I felt that the fashion and beauty column had too much of an empty space so I created a box where an image can be imported in to fill some of it up.
I imported my image and used the ‘text wrap’ button so the coverlines would fit nicely around the image. I also created an orange subscription box on the bottom left hand side of the page to fill some of the space. Also, I added nig, white and black page numbers to the images so it contrasts against the image.
I changed the colour of the subscription box to bright pink as I felt that stood out from the page more, which would appeal to the readers. I also added an image to the editorial and used the text box button, in order to look more professional.
After printing off the page, I thought it still had too much black on it, so I changed the heading colour to yellow which contrasts against the blue background. I also added a caption to the main image, as I noticed many contents page’s follow this convention.
