ALLWEST is well versed in providing services under the miscellaneous contract format. ALLWEST’s mission is to provide accurate data and recommendation in a timely manner to help our clients make well informed decisions. We build client relationships based on a foundation of trust and mutual respect by providing quality service in a prompt, accurate and professional manner at reasonable rates.

ALLWEST’s multi-disciplinary approach to project activities provides a significant advantage to our clients from inception through final construction. By using an integrated approach for site visits, geotechnical engineering, environmental concerns, and construction materials testing, ALLWEST is able to be your single source of enhanced services that help to ensure successful and cost effective project development.

For our client’s, ALLWEST’s diversity allows us to provide highly responsive and competitive engineering and materials testing services. Our staff places it’s priority on providing innovative, practical solutions to the various geotechnical or materials testing issues that may be found on your property.

ALLWEST provides it’s clients with engineering studies that provide an accurate understanding of the soils conditions and engineering properties on the project site. Our objective is to provide clear and concise reports which accurately represent soil conditions, instead of conservative values resulting from insufficient test data. By using our services from project conception to construction completion, ALLWEST can address changing conditions in a timely fashion, reducing costly project delays. Quality and efficiency is enhanced by the seamless transition of our team from one phase of the project to the next.

We take our continuity of service one step further by offering in-house laboratory testing. By providing these services in-house, our geotechnical engineers and project geologists are able to direct, observe, and participate in the testing programs thus improving the reliability of the data used in the engineering reports. Additionally, with accredited laboratories in each of our offices, we are able to respond quickly and efficiently to clients needs, even with projects on tight schedules.

Our approach to every project is to first develop a comprehensive understanding of our client’s goals. This allows our team to develop a detailed scope of services to meet your goals and objectives. As we proceed through the project, we maintain constant communication with the client and project team to ensure goals are being met and time lines adhered to. ALLWEST approaches each project as part of the design and/or construction team. The team works best when all involved work toward a common

goal. This goal is to provide the owner and end user with the best product possible in a timely and cost effective manner.

Quality Control/Quality Assurance during the construction process is extremely important in order to safeguard the value of the owner’s investment. ALLWEST personnel will perform inspections and tests throughout the construction process in accordance with the relevant building codes, in order to provide the project owner and design team with assurances that the project is being built according to the specifications.

It is important that the personnel responsible for quality control inspection be qualified to perform the needed work. As such, the ALLWEST inspectors that will be working on your project are multi-certified and carry the necessary qualifications to perform the inspections that will be needed on your project. Additionally, by using multi-certified inspectors we are able to send one inspector that is capable of servicing the varying needs of the project in the same visit. This capability provides consistency within the project and reduces project costs.

ALLWEST will provide certified inspectors for each aspect of this project. While some firms elect to reduce costs by providing uncertified personnel to perform field inspections with an office review by a certified person, we believe this does not provide the required level of inspection dictated by specified codes and the project requirements.

Municipalities that issue building permits require that project plans, specifications, and the IBC or UBC codes be followed during construction. Compliance with these documents must be documented by approved consultants, certified inspectors and laboratories. ALLWEST’s staff monitors construction activities to evaluate whether these standards are achieved.

As with any construction project, deficiencies will be discovered. As your on-site testing agency, we take a proactive approach by immediately notifying the project manager, and working with the construction team to find an effective way to bring the deficiency into compliance.

Additionally, we keep a log of all deficiencies on the project and follow up on the deficiencies to ensure that they are corrected. If deficiencies are left unresolved, we will notify our client of the issue.

Procedurally, ALLWEST will adhere to a strict code of conduct while on your site. When we arrive, we will notify the project superintendent of our arrival, and discuss the schedule for testing and inspections for that day and discuss any items of concern he/she might have. We review the approved plans and requests for information (RFI’s) for

Appr

the areas that are to be inspected. At the conclusion of our inspections, we will notify the project superintendent of our findings, and bring to his attention any deficiencies that were noted.

ALLWEST has implemented an electronic system for recording our observations on our Daily Field Report form, a preliminary copy of which can be sent to the project superintendent electronically before the technician leaves the site where wi-fi is available, otherwise printed copies can be left utilizing our mobile printers. Upon submission by the technician, the field reports are reviewed by the ALLWEST project manager on a daily basis. Any issues are discussed and the report is prepared for distribution. Daily Field Reports with time-sensitive issues are distributed to the client immediately, otherwise reports are distributed weekly. Report distribution occurs on a weekly basis with all Daily Field Reports, Concrete Break Sheets, and Laboratory Test Results being distributed electronically to all persons on the client provided distribution list. Additionally, we can provide a weekly and/or monthly summary of all work that has occurred in the previous period. For clients that require photographs of the work that is occurring on site, the electronic reporting system allows our technicians to include these in the Daily Field Report, using their assigned electronic device to document the work on site. These pictures can also be distributed as the client requests.

Upon completion of ALLWEST’s services for the project, all reports and test results are again reviewed by the project manager. All deficiencies must have compliance reports and any unresolved issues will be addressed. At that time, a final letter will be prepared and distributed to the proper jurisdiction as required.

Document handling and retention is an important part of the project. Rest assured that ALLWEST Testing & Engineering has policies in place to safeguard your documentation. All finaled reports are not only saved electronically on our file server, and backed up daily; hard copies are kept in the project file and stored after the project is complete.
