The City of Toronto is completing a number of infrastructure improvements on Weston Road between Lawrence Avenue West to Humberview Crescent. The City is also improving the intersection of Jane Street and Trethewey Drive/Denison Road East. The improvements are part of the Council-Approved 2019 budget and the City's Vision Zero Road Safety Plan that aims to create a safe and healthy city by eliminating all fatalities and serious injuries on city streets. During construction, the contractor is responsible for the Health & Safety on site under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and is expected to implement COVID-19 mitigation practices.     Work Hours: On Weston road, most work will take place from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with work after hours and on weekends as required. Overnight work will happen from July 13 to July 30, 2020, on Jane Street and Denison Road/Trethewey Drive starting at 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday to Friday, with weekend work as required.

    Traffic Management: Efforts have been made to manage traffic in the area for the safety of workers, road users and residents. Road users should expect delays and increased traffic on nearby main and side streets. Weston Road

    • Traffic will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction from Lawrence Avenue West to Humberview Crescent.

    Intersection Improvements at Jane Street Trethewey Drive • From July 13 to July 30, 2020, Jane Street and Denison Road/Trethewey

    Drive will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction overnight, starting at 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday to Friday, with weekend work as required.

    TTC Service: TTC Service: This project may affect travel times on the 32C, 52A, 52B, 52D, 52G, 59, 59B, 73, 73C, 73D, 79A, 79B, 89, 352. Visit ttc.ca for accurate schedule information.

    Pedestrians: The work may require temporary sidewalk restrictions, however any necessary sidewalk closures will provide alternate locations and ensure access is maintained during construction.

    Cyclists: If travelling through these work areas, please share the traffic lane in the active work zones
