    Warriors,

It's almost 2013! Many great things happenedduring 2012 and even though we faced hardshipsand trials, which are to be expected in life, wesurvived and even laughed a lot more than we hadin previous years. How can we smile, have joy andeven get excited when we are faced with so muchevil and darkness? Well, let's look at a few thingsbefore we travel together to the mountain in Israel

and hear the Word of the Lord on December 31st.We are NOT going to enter 2013 with one negativeword on our lips, but rather the word "CONQUER"will resonate and prepare our path to manyvictories. You may be saying, Kim, you're just toopositive! How can we truly believe this? Sir WinstonChurchill was once asked to give the qualificationsof a person needed in order to succeed in politics, and he replied: "It is the ability to foretell what isgoing to happen tomorrow, next week, next month,

and next year. And to have the ability afterwards toexplain why it didn't happen." That is what isrequired for politicians, not God's prophets andmessengers. Look at Isaiah as an example. Isaiahlived in momentous days, in critical days ofinternational upheaval, and he wrote what manyconsider to be the greatest book in the OldTestament. You see Isaiah move with fearlessdignity through the chaos of his day, firm in his quietfaith and steadfast in God. At a time when empires

were rising and falling (as we see today), and hisnation was in trouble, it was Isaiah who wrote, "Inreturning and rest you shall be saved; in quietnessand confidence shall be your strength."

I have been accused by some of being too positiveand not realistic. Why? Because I refuse to agreewith the prognosticators screaming from avenues, the greatest being the news media, who have toadmit that they are wrong most of the time, but

rarely do. What a "ridiculous" statement for Isaiah to

make at such at tumultuous time!!! "IN RETURNINGAND REST YOU SHALL BE SAVED; INQUIETNESS AND CONFIDENCE SHALL BEYOUR STRENGTH."

And when a new generation faced the arduous talkof rebuilding a ruined economy, a ruined nation, itwas the words of Isaiah the prophet that gave them

courage. "But those who wait on the Lord shallrenew their strength; they shall mount up with wingslike eagles, they shall run and not be weary, theyshall walk and not faint." Isaiah-type prophets arewhat we need to hear today, crying out as he didabove the persistent repetition of world upheaval,"Comfort, YES, comfort My people." We don't needprognosticators in pulpits. There are way too manyof them, simply repeating what is apparently evidentand in your face - false depictions of the future. Oh I

know there is trouble with the economy; we facewar, we have weak leaders, yadda yadda, but isTHAT HOW WE SHOULD BE RESPONDING? BYSIMPLY AGREEING WITH THESE REPORTSAND FALLING TO PIECES? Isaiah was much morethan a prophet, he was an evangelist whopresented Jesus Christ and the Good News of theGospel. Isaiahs Servant Song about Jesus (Isa.52:1353:12) is quoted or alluded to nearly fortytimes in the New Testament.

The prophet wrote about the birth of Christ (7:14;9:6; Matt. 1:1825); the ministry of John the Baptist(Isa. 40:16; Matt. 3:1ff); Christs anointing by theSpirit (Isa. 61:12; Luke 4:1719); the nationsrejection of their Messiah (Isa. 6:911; John12:38ff); Christ, the stone of stumbling (Isa. 8:14;28:16; Rom. 9:3233; 10:11; 1 Peter 2:6); Christsministry to the Gentiles (Isa. 49:6; Luke 2:32; Acts13:47); the Saviors suffering and death (Isa.

52:1353:12; Acts 3:13; 8:3233; 1 Peter 2:2125); His resurrection (Isa. 55:3; Acts 13:34); and Hisreturn to reign as King (Isa. 9:67; 11:1ff; 59:2021; 63:13; Rom. 11:2627; Rev. 19:1315). HEDID ALL OF THIS IN CRITICAL DAYS OFINTERNATIONAL UPHEAVAL!!

It is this emphasis on redemption that gives Isaiah amessage for the whole world. While it is true heministered to the little nation of Judah, and wrote

about nations and empires that for the most part areno longer on the world scene, his focus was onGods plan of salvation for the whole world. Isaiahsaw the greatness of God and the vastness of Hisplan of salvation for Jews and Gentiles alike. Isaiahwas a patriot, but not a bigot; he saw beyond hisown nation to the gracious work God would doamong the Gentile nations of the world.

MY INSTRUCTION FROM GOD WHEN I WASCALLED TO AMERICA IN 1974: COMFORT MYPEOPLE. And I'm not going to change it.

The English word "comfort" comes from two Latinwords that together mean, "with strength." WhenIsaiah says to us, "Be comforted!" it is not a word ofpity, but of power. God's comfort does not weakenus it strengthens us. God is not indulging us, but

empowering us. During Isaiah's time God's peoplewere chastened and then...RESTORED!! This is aperiod of restoration for God's people.

    A few October testimonies!

"The last 2-3 nights I have been in such pain in my neck and having great headaches. hurt just to have pressure on my head from lying on my pillow at night. I spent a fewnights in tears because of it. But, after the prayer and sowing when you said it was timeto sow, I went to bed without any pain! I have not had the pain all day!" - Sherry

"I am the guy who asked the Lord for a testimony of my own after Kim received his

testimony when his back was healed. The Lord healed my left hand so that I couldcontinue praising him with my bass guitar. The thing is that now I can play much betterthan I did before the Lord Jesus healed my hand. I can do things with my instrumentthat had been a struggle previously. This goes along with promises from the Lord thathe made to me, and reassured to me repeatedly, regarding my physical body." - Eric

"I have been on a fixed income since 2002. I have been tithing & giving offerings formonths. Recently God provided extra funds in the amount of almost $10,000 to assist

    Article from Donne' Clement Petruska

I recently took a trip to Europe, as many of you know, and it was a life changing

experience. I visited many churches, cathedrals and abbeys as I ventured with myhusband through many European countries. Our first stop was London, England. Someof you may have seen my broadcast from Buckingham palace that was aired the sameweek on The Den, where we discussed the prophecy my father gave regarding thecapture of Osama Bin Laden.

Our flight into London was easy; I slept 8 of the 11 hours, and surprisingly enjoyed themeal. My husband John said that when he turned to wake me and ask if I wanted thechicken or the beef that I was drooling on myself, which wasnt as embarrassing as Iwould have expected considering how tired I was having just finished final exams at

school. Also, I found out a week later that I was pregnant so Im sure that added to myexhaustion without me even realizing it.

When we landed, we gathered our four pieces of luggage (big mistake, next trip we wilhave one piece each) and went to look for a cab to take us to our hotel. My cousinJoelle lives in London and had warned us not to, under any circumstances, take theblack taxicabs but rather the yellow numbered ones because the black cabs chargemore money and take advantage of unsuspecting tourists where the yellow cabs have regulated flat rate that they are bound to. (Let that be a warning to any of you who areplanning a trip to London, take the yellow cabs!) Unfortunately, even after we had been

warned, we forgot, in all the excitement, and got into a bigbeautiful vintage black taxicaband 80 pounds was theconsequence.

I quietly observed the ancient city as we passed through. Thefirst thing that struck me was the mix of new and old buildings.Ancient relics alongside new construction stood out to me as atestament to this city. It reminded me of San Francisco, New

York and even New Orleans, and of course, all of those townswere probably influenced by London from their very beginnings.I personally preferred the old construction, still standing, sometimes overgrown, which made it even more beautiful tome.

While in London, we visited Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, theTower of London and the Tower Bridge, all of them astoundingand beautiful. But one place in particular stood out to me themost, Westminster Abbey. We went there twice, the first time it

was too late to go inside so we ventured around this millenniumold place of worship from the outside. I was shocked at thisstructure, that something this old could be this detailed andbeautiful. The entrance alone was shockingly detailed andstunningly beautiful. A huge statue of Mary with the baby Christadorns the doors to this massive work of art.

We made it inside the next day and it was even moreastounding as we walked through the marble church. All around were the tombs offamous names in history, flung to the forefront of my mind and memory as I came upon

Mary Queen of Scotts, Queen Elizabeth and even Charles Darwin and Sir IsaacNewton in their final resting places. Everywhere was marble and gold, carved with theutmost skill and unending patience. It blew my mind how these works of art werecreated, how long it must have taken, entire lifetimes dedicated to the creation andexpression of this one place.

And as we continued through, it occurred to me that as beautiful and life changing as itwas to witness such a place; it is still only a museum now. Yes, services are held thereand Im sure there are many genuinely dedicated people who attend and conduct theseservices, yet it is still a graveyard, albeit a magnificent one. It registered very strongly in

my heart that the Spirit of God is not confined there, but alive and moving throughoutthe city and the world. That this was a place from which to look back and reflect, perhaps to guide into the future in some ways, but certainly, it was a tomb. And thistheme stuck with me throughout our trip through Europe. In Italy, France, TheNetherlands, Denmark, Poland and Germany, I visited numerous historic churches andcathedrals, but always left feeling I had visited a memorial to the dead things, asbeautiful, inspirational and interesting as it may have been to see, I knew that God wasnot confined to these places, or any place or single group of people. He is the creator oculture and diversity and moves freely and continuously through all places and peoplesThis only made me feel more love for those who are different than I am, for anyone who

may not think exactly the way I do or use the same language that I use. I will be glad toshare more details of our trip in future articles, where I can give more details of eachplace that we went to.

Before we left London, we were stuck in a huge traffic jam because of the newskyscraper being built there. The construction had just reached the height that made itthe tallest building in Europe, which was a cause for much celebration in the streets ofLondon. The massive structure, almost all glass, rose high above the city, touching the

ancient sky. And as I looked up at it, and around at all the other buildings within myview, I noticed how much of the new architecture in London is glass, reflective. Thiswas interesting to me as it seemed to represent a generation reflecting its past, a pastthat reaches so far back in history, that has influenced so much of our world today. AndI was quietly touched in my heart and honored to have visited one of the few places inthe world that still has a royal family with castles and knights and crown jewels, andinspired by the beautiful and resilient old things that continue to stand the test of time.

    UPDATES

I am glad to give a brief report on my new sisters, LiAnn and Mia. They are doingextremely well, and I especially noticed after being away for six weeks. I returned to amuch more outgoing Mia who is looking a thousand times healthier than after hersurgery earlier this year. Her hair is growing and so is her confidence. She will behaving another surgery before the end of the year to complete everything that needs tobe done to her little heart so that she is 100%. Because she still has a ventricular septadefect, which is a hole in her heart, they will have to do another surgery. But after thatshe will be a normal, healthy little girl.

LiAnn is talking and talking and is definitely a great big sister to Mia. She is a leader

through and through and loves to be in control. She can see much better, thanks to theprocedures they have done to improve her eyesight and she is a sweet and loving littlegirl, and cute as a button. We thank you for all your prayers and support through theadoption and all the surgeries and sleepless nights. We know that this is definitelyGods will. We are so excited to continue to share with you as they grow and progress, especially because they will start school soon so Im sure well have a lot to tell you.

This will be our first Christmas together with Mia and LiAnn and we are so excited! Wecant wait to experience all of our Christmas traditions with them and see what they do.Im sure when they see the big tree and all the lights, and all the wonderful things my

mom does to make sure Christmas is special for us, they will be elated. As wecelebrate this most wonderful time of the year with our new family members, we praythat each of you have a cherished and special Christmas season too.

    Love,

    Donne
