This year, the City of Conover will be bringing Santa Claus into your neighborhood through the dates of December 7th to December 16th. Santa and his Magical Elf “Number 1” will be riding on a big red fire engine. Santa Claus will be escorted by his little help- ers from the Conover Police Department and Conover Public Works. Cemetery Clean UpThe City’s annual Fall Cemetery Clean-Up will take place on November 9th & 10th, 2021. Those who have loved ones in any of the city cemeteries should be advised that the cemetery maintenance staff will be removing all weathered or out-of-season flower arrangements. Also, any toy, trinket, vase, jar or anything determined unsight-ly or undesirable will be removed. Please have your personal items removed by November 8th. All new flowers may be put out November 12th, 2021 and must be displayed in permanent vases attached to markers. For further information or questions, please contact City Hall at 828-464-1191.
