Bella Vista Country Club Renovations
Bella Vista Country Club is schedule to be renovated and remodeled in 2017. The new renovation concept features a Welcome Center providing community and real estate information, large Proshop and retail store, a large common area for community and social events and a unique restaurant experience that compliments the space. The Welcome Center will be the “Information Hub” for Bella Vista POA, providing information on all activities and events as well as sales of POA owned lots. The Proshop and Retail Sales area will be a one stop shop for all merchandise offered throughout the POA owned courses with the addition of Bella Vista “Swag” items that will be more appealing to a broader market. What is now being called the Common Area is a multi-use area that can
accommodate both POA community functions and gatherings as well as private parties. An intimate fast-casual style restaurant that will feature unique appetizers, salads and sandwiches as well as upscale southern comfort food is also being planned. “Grab and go” service will also be available. The design for Bella Vista Country Club is open and interactive, promoting easy flow from one area to the other and opening access to a better customer service experience with each area having a fantastic panoramic view of the golf course. A permanent, constructed portico in front of the building will also replace the old worn canopy. The focus of the renovation will be on maintaining the charm of the original E. Fay Jones architecture and to also enhance it when possible.

We are pleased to announce that the revamped fishing dock at the Loch Lomond marina has been completed, and is now open for fishing. The upgrades to the dock moved the structure approximately 80 ft out from the bank, and added a considerable amount of space for anglers to fish from. This project was funded in part by a donation by the Bella Vista Flytyers.

The Highlanders Monday Golf group celebrated Christmas with their annual awards dinner on December 12th at El Pueblito. Darrell Muldoon presented the awards. Winners included long timer Byrd Williams for Sandbagger of the Year & newcomer Rex Butler for Most Improved Golfer & Low Net. The Friends of the Bella Vista Public Library are sponsoring their annual membership drive beginning March 1 and ending March 31. Everyone is welcome to become a member…..a friend. With this energizing, Latin based dance fitness class you’ll have fun, be inspired by great music and get a great blend of cardio and muscle conditioning! It’s known as the party based workout. You’ll learn moves that are combined in both high-intensity and low-intensity patterns to give you a great calorie-burning workout. Sweetheart Tournament – What better way to start your Valentine’s Day than with your sweetheart on the golf course. We will have an 18-hole Scramble on the Berksdale Golf Course with a noon shotgun start and dinner following the tournament at Riordan Hall. This event is open to Members and Non-Members.
Golf Expo - Bella Vista Village’s 8th Annual Golf Expo is scheduled for March 18 at Riordan Hall from 9:00 p.m. - 12:00 p.m. with the Group Leaders meeting at 8 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Expo gives information about Bella Vista’s golf groups and the opportunity to register for your favorite golf group for the year as well as a chance to talk with members of the Golf Division’s staff and meet other Bella Vista Members.
Spring 3 Person Scramble – 36 holes of scramble format. Half of the field will play Kingswood on Saturday and Berksdale on Sunday. Field will be divided into two equal groups based on total team index. This event is open to Members and Non-Members. USGA certified handicap is required.
