The St. Andrew’s Connection News, Info & Announcements for the St. Andrew’s Family COMING UP: On November 6 at the beautiful Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, St. Andrew’s will be hosting the ninth annual Ageless- Remarkable Saint Louisans Gala and celebrating 50 years of serving seniors! Throughout the evening twenty older adults will be honored who personify St. Andrew’s vision of a society where all elders are respected, productive, secure and fulfilled. Honorees include Jean, 90, who spends nearly every weekend and holiday volunteering in the Emergency Department at St. Anthony’s Hospital; Dr. Young, 85, who teaches clinical neuroanatomy to medical students at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and Sr. Madelene, 95, who dedicates her time to raising funds for Sisters of the Most Precious Blood. Ageless not only celebrates the continued contributions of older adults, but is also the major fundraiser for St. Andrew’s. Thank you to the employees who have made a financial contribution to support Ageless! "Thank all you people for being here,"were Margaret’s words at the end of the gathering. "I've enjoyed my birthday. It's been a wonderful day.” The Missouri History Museum stopped by Tower Grove Manor, after they heard about the event. Media coverage included the Ladue News, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, STLtoday.com, Suburban Journals,recognition on Twitter and Facebook, as well as local blog, UrbanReviewSTL.com. CHESTERFIELD As we bid adieu and paid homage to outgoing leadership at Brooking Park, the uniquely caring staff opened the door to its new executive director, Linda Hagler-Reid. “Linda’s background in person-centered care and her background in culture change, teambuilding, leadership and innovation, makes her a great fit for Brooking Park,” said St. Andrew’s Management Services Operations Director Christy McCorkell. “She’s very forward thinking and she’s a visionary.” Linda is the past President and CEO of West Vue, Inc, a retirement community in West Plains, Missouri. She has more than 25 years in Missouri’s senior care industry. Linda also has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Webster and a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Communication from Concordia. She has numerous awards as a leader, senior living professional and educator, and has published work in the ACHCA Assisted Living Journal. Welcome, Linda!
