M Forgotten God: Reversing our tragic neglect

of the Holy Spirit by Francis Chan

Written by the same author as Crazy Love, our fall study

book, Francis Chan will challenge us again to take a closer

look at our walk with the Lord. “If I was Satan and my ultimate

goal was to thwart God’s kingdom and purposes, one of my

main strategies would be to get churchgoers to ignore the

Holy Spirit.” Each session will begin with a short lecture

and then we will gather around tables where we will have

an opportunity to discuss what we have heard and read.

March 24-May 12 6-7pm Wesley Hall

M Letters from Dad by Greg Vaughn

Greg had a passion in his heart as a father of seven to

lead a new men’s movement. Not since Promise Keepers has

such a phenomenon for men occurred. With 77 million baby

boomers, many are asking “How do I leave something of lasting

value to my children and grandchildren?” Letters from Dad

unlocks the hearts of fathers and helps them leave a legacy of

faith, hope and love. Just as God has written us a love letter

called the Bible, fathers can leave treasured words of love and

blessing. Men are experiencing revitalization in their marriages

and relationships with their children after attending Letters

from Dad seminars. Each session will begin with a time of

sharing followed by a time of discussion at each table under the

leadership of table leaders on how they can write a letter to

their wives, children and/or other family members.

March 24-May 26 6-7pm

Room 7201 Doug Smith and Charles Smith, Facilitators

W Blessings from the Heart

Everyone leaves a legacy. The question is: What kind

of legacy will you leave? This is an incredible journey where

you will learn how to bless your world through the lost art of

letter writing. Learn how to leave a legacy that will last, speak

life into those you love, encourage those that need a word of

encouragement, and forever change your life as you impact

generations not yet born. Cost: varies.

A The Truth Project

“Do you really believe that what you believe is really

real?” A recent study revealed that only 9 percent of professing

Christians believe in absolute truth, so for many the question

is “Is anything really real?” Nothing seems stable anymore.

Do you ever feel that way? Well, if you attend “The Truth

Project” you will leave this course with a greater grip on the

Truth than ever before. Guaranteed!!! Can you answer: Who

is God? Who is Man? Why did Jesus come to Earth? (You

will be surprised by the answer to this question.) What is

Truth? Why is there evil? Can we trust the Bible? What about

science and the Bible? What is the Biblical perspective on

government? And much more. The Church in America is losing

the culture war because we as Christians are not equipped to

answer these ultimate questions. “The Truth Project” is a new

13-part Focus on the Family DVD series taught by Dr. Del

Tackett. For complete info go to: www.thetruthproject.org.

W Breaking Free: The Journey, The Stories

by Beth Moore

Beth Moore leads you through a study of the Scriptures

to discover the transforming power of Christian freedom.

Based on Isaiah 61:1-4, this in-depth Bible study draws

parallels between the captive Israelites and today’s believers.

Beth uses Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds

in your life, no matter how big or small. She explains that

anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God

is bondage. Breaking Free is Beth’s life message that she

wants to share with you. First released in 1999, this updated

version of Breaking Free includes 11 new video teaching

messages taped live at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in

New Orleans, along with re-edited Bible study content and

testimonies of how women like you have found freedom and

been delivered from their personal captivity. Cost $15.00.

REQUIREMENTS FOR PART ICIPANTS

Attendance

Students must attend 50% of Adrenaline (Wednesdays, 6-7PM) and 75% of Confirmation Sundays (Sundays, 9:30-10:45AM). There will be review sessions available upon request for students who missed a Confirmation class. Two review sessions will be allowed per student. Students must attend the mandatory Confirmation Retreat on April 16-18, 2010.

Parental involvement in the homework is necessary so that students can have the maximum benefit of spiritual growth. Homework must be checked off by both the parent and small group leader.

Students will also be practicing one of the spiritual discipline tools (solitude/prayer, accountability, Bible memorization, tithing, Bible study) that will be provided by the Student Ministry.

Testimony Students must write out their testimony and present it to their small group and the Student Ministry staff. They will have the opportunity to do this at the Confirmation Retreat.

Baptism Students must be baptized. If they were baptized as an infant, that will fulfill this requirement. Any students who have not been baptized can contact the CRAVE Student Ministry office at 334-495-6409, and we can assist you in this process.
