CONNECTING TO NIFC WIRELESS NETWORK – GFE MOBILE DEVICES: Samsung (Android)
These instructions are intended for NIFC Employees that would like to use the NIFC Wireless Network using their Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) mobile device (Samsung - Android). NOTE: Minor variations from these instructions may occur depending on the device and its software version.
Step 5: NIFC-Guest will then display “Connected”. (Only Temporary)
Step 3: Select “Wi-Fi” and then select “NIFC Guest” from the list.
Step 4: Select “Connect”.
Step 2: Swipe down from the Samsung Logo to bring up your settings menu as seen below. Then select the Gear.

Step 1: Send an email request for access to NIFC Wi-Fi to [email protected]. When you receive the response with your Wi-Fi credentials, follow these instructions:

Step 9: Select “Install QuickConnect”.
Step 6: Open up Google Chrome on your device. Note: Google Chrome is required and can be downloaded from Google Play. Try to go to a public website e.g. http://www.google.com. If the page “Connection is not private” displays, select “ADVANCED and select the “hyperlink “on the screen that follows; if not, it will advance to the next step.
Step 8: Fill in the form with your username and password provided to you via email, then select “Log In”
Step 7: Select “Register Government Furnished Device” on the NIFC Wi-Fi login page that appears.

Step 10: Select “Install” on the aruba Networks ClearPass QuickConnect as seen here.
Step 11: Select “Accept”.
Step 12: Select “Open”.
Step 13: Select “OK”.

Step 15: Select “Install Network Profile”.
Step 16: Observe the profile installation
Step 17: Select “OK” when you see “Your device is now successfully connected to the NIFC-GFE network.
Note: Within a few minutes your device should auto-connect to NIFC-GFE, if not; manually configure your network settings selecting NIFC-GFE SSID to access the Internet.
Step 14: Back on the NIFC Wi-Fi login again. Select “Register Government Furnished Device” again and proceed to the next step.
