Welcome to a town that is brimming with flowers, light, games, and music all year round. So many fun things to see and do await, you will find it hard to fit it all in one day.

In Kawatana, you can see wartime relics of military facilities that still remain from the War in the Pacific.

Higashisonogi is Nagasaki’ s top tea-growing region. Sonogi tea has been awarded the top prize in Japan’ s National Tea Awards for two years running.

The spring waters of Ureshino Onsen make your skin feel silky smooth. Their popularity is due to their reputation as one of Japan’ s three best hot springs for beautiful skin.

Takeo Onsen, with its clear, soft hot spring waters, has a history going back 1,300 years. Famously, the great 16th-century military leader, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, once stayed there.

Recently marking the 90th anniversary of its opening, Chiwata Station is known as Japan’ s closest railway station to the ocean. It is popular as a spot for viewing the beautiful sunset.

A famous cherry blossom viewing spot, Omura Park has been selected as one of Japan’ s 100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots and one of Japan’ s 100 Best Historical Parks.

A h o u s e b u i l t i n 1 8 7 0 b y M a s a t a k a Kusumoto, a politician who was active from the Bakumatsu Period into the Meiji Era. It features exhibits of archives from the end of the Shogunate and the Meiji Restoration.

S i t e s c o n n e c t e d t o t h e h i d d e n Christians of the Nagasaki and Amakusa regions were registered as World Heritage sites in July 2018.

Isahaya is a town with an abundance of natural beauty, surrounded by the three seas of Ariake Sea in the east, Omura Bay in the west, and Tachibana Bay in the south, the peaks of the Tara Mountain Range and vast expanses of rolling hills.

The place where Omura Sumitada, the first of Japan’ s Christ ian daimyo, spent his last years.

Obama Onsen is a hot spring resort of stunning scenery overlooking Tachibana Bay. It is known for having the hottest springs in Japan.

Unzen Onsen has more than 30 “hells,” from which pure white clouds of steam gush out of fumaroles in the ground.

The ruins of Hara Castle, the scene of the Shimabara Rebellion (1637-38), is one of the sites that make up the Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki and Amakusa Regions.

The Kujuku Islands consisting of 208 islands make up the Saikai National Park. In 2018, this area was approved for membership in the Club of the Most Beautiful Bays of the World.

The first head of the domain, Omura Yoshiaki, built Kushima Castle (current Omura Park) and established the castle town around it. Take a s t r o l l a r o u n d t h e t o w n a n d e x p l o r e i t s atmospheric samurai residences and stone walls.

Explore historical sites related to the ban on Christianity and persecution of Christians, which began with an order for the expulsion of all missionaries. Tours leave from either Omura Station or Nagasaki Airport.
