Connecting Essay 4

This image is one image which I took myself, this was from a shoot I don’t quite early in the project. Originally I hadn’t planned this shoot out very well, therefore I thought some of the images weren’t that great. However, this is one of my favourite images as I like how detailed you can see the water splashes. Originally the water was blue, but using Photoshop I edited the photo and made the water purple as I thought it looked more effective this way. I also used the levels and curves to make certain bits stand out. I am very proud of this picture as I like the detail you can see of the water running.

This image is an image, which I found online, I like the image a lot because I like the amounts of detail which are visible. It has been taken from a sort of high angle, which ensures you can see the water flowing downwards. I like how the water is almost blurry at the top as it shows how quickly its running, I also like how you can see shades of different colours. Another thing, which I thought was effective, was the fact that you can see the splashes of the water as it drops down over the rocks. This looks like it has been taken with a macro lens as it includes lots of detail.

These two images link together because they are both images of water showing water running. Within both images you can see the splashes from the water and lots of detail, such as the ripples in the water. Both of these images were taken using a macro lens, which shows huge amounts of detail. I like how they both also have a drop in the water where the water goes over something and the goes down as it creates an almost waterfall effect which I like. They were both originally similar colours however I edited my image because I thought it looked more effective purple. Also, the waves in my image are rougher than the image from the internet, therefore I think my one looks effective.
