All these foods have a taste and flavor unique to them. What is a meal without topping it off with something scrumptiously sweet, like death by chocolate, or apple pie and ice cream? God knows we can relate to taste and food. We have to eat to live. What Bliss to have tasted of the heavenly things from God! Our souls cannot survive without a daily meal from Heaven’s kitchen. Friend, if you have not tasted to see that the Lord is Good, perhaps I have whet your appetite enough that you will take a morsel of this Heavenly food in today. Nothing can compare to an experience with Jesus Christ! Nothing. Your definition of what is good may not be what I find is good, but everybody that tastes of this Heavenly experience gives the same response. The Lord is Good! How sweet is His mercy! How tender and satisfying is His kindness to all. He offers such a variety from Heaven’s kitchen; kindness, longsuffering, patience, goodness, mercy, temperance, to name a few on the menu, and let’s never forget the sweetest, Love. No matter what you receive from the Lord, you’ll find He is good. Try Him! You’ll love Him once you have tasted of Him! Only Jesus can satisfy your soul. The 5000 found out that the Lord does tastes good! Israel in the wilderness found that the Lord tastes good. David said that the Lord prepared a table before him in the presence of his enemies. God wants others to see that He will provide for you in the face of opposition. He is called the Good Shepherd for a reason. The Lord cares for His people. In fact, He cares for all. He even wants us to do likewise. If your enemy hunger ....feed him... Give him a taste of grace! Freely we have received, so freely we offer this revelation to you. Oh, taste and see for yourself that the Lord is Good! Only He can satisfy your heart. There is no other want to those that fear Him.

Matthew 13 is a chapter full of parables which reveals the many dimensions of the Kingdom of God. To the Jews the oyster was an unclean animal. Oysters are put in dirty water to clean it up. As the water passes through the oyster, the dirt particles are filtered out. With God something beautiful can come out of something unclean. We may not be perfect or without problems, but God equips us to handle the difficulties. Naomi experienced heartache and disappointment with the deaths of her hus-band and her two grown sons. When this happens to you, don’t be an Orpha and turn back. Stay in “Naomi’s house” –the house of God. In despair, Naomi wanted Ruth to call her Mara (bitterness). She had to overcome the bitterness before she could send Ruth to glean in the fields of Boaz – the kinsman redeemer. Just like God made the bitter water of Mara drinkable, He can bring hope to an impossible situ-ation.

The secret is to deal with bitterness the way an oyster deals with a grain of sand. It constantly coats the grain of sand until there are no more rough edges. After many, many coats, a beautiful pearl is formed. Coat your problem with prayer, preaching and the Word of

God. You won’t have a revelation of prayer until you have a problem. At the end of your trial, your testimony is your pearl. God can take an unclean situation and make something beautiful out of it. The son that Tamar bore to Judah lived his life bearing the reproach of the circumstances of his birth. Yet six generations later Boaz married Ruth. Three genera-tions later, we have the birth of David, the giant killer. If you become bitter, you will never see the Davids that God wants to produce. We will enter Heaven through the Gates of Pearl – the material of overcomers. This will be our testi-mony that what once was unclean is now beautiful. Resist bitterness and keep coating your problem with prayer and worship.

...her children arise up, and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praiseth her.Proverbs 31:28

Try as we might, there is no human satisfaction in earthly things. No created thing can hope to f ill us, to complete us. For all things are ifinite in their very nature. Yet our longing for satisfac-tion is infinite and therefore can only be filled by One infinite in nature. The righteous are those who are filled by the Spirit of God - they are, therefore, satisfied.

Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6
