Connect SI was awarded $176,500 from the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services to facilitate a planning process for a regional Health Information Exchange (HIE) in the 31 southernmost counties (MTA 3). This work is part of a Healthcare and Family Services statewide effort to implement an HIE.

Connect SI and the HIESI Steering Committee have completed the work in Phase One. Members of the HIESI Steering Committee and the stakeholder groups represent a vast array of healthcare specializations and facilities. Selection of vendors and physical outreach & engagement for the HIE is on-going.
