    The Media5-fone (softphone application) can mainly do the following two things.

    1. It can be used as a Local Office Extension.

    2. It can be used as remote users.

    2. Install Procedure 2-1. Download of application

    - Next, application is installed on the terminal.

    - First, AP is downloaded from the following URL.

    1.Search media5-fone. 2.Select Media5-fone

    (Free Edition).

    3.Press Install.

    4.Enter Apple ID

    Password to Password

    5.Press OK.

    The main purpose of this document is to describe the use of the Office Extension. For using

    the Remote Extension, please look as the reference level. The latter is necessary to set the SBC.

    9. Servers Outbound Proxy: Change Enable Proxy to ON, and enter the global IP Address assigned to SBC

    to Address field.

    Then, change Remove Route Header to ON.

  • 3G, 4G, or LTE

    - Using as Remote Extension on Outside of Office : set up step 1-13

    13. Settings Application Settings: If you use the Media5-fone via your mobile network such as 3G,4G,or LTE,

    you need to change VoIP over 3G to ON. However, you should check for your mobile network before you configure this.

    Please see the note below.

    Important note

    Some mobile network operators may prohibit or restrict VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol)

    over their data network or impose additional fees and/or charges when using VoIP over their

    network.

    Please ask your mobile network operator before enabling the VoIP over 3G feature.

    Please contact the Media5-fone Technical Assistance Center for any concern related to the

    VoIP over 3G.

    2-4. PBX setting

    1. Install SIP extension Activation key.

    2. Install V-SIPEXT32 card (virtual card).

    3. Change OUS (V-SIPEXT32 card) and setting password.

    4. Change INS (V-SIPEXT32 card).
