centre and major transport routes, we are ideally situated for your conference, day course or summer school.

We can offer a wide choice of venues, which can be booked all year round, but with a greater choice

during the University vacations.

Our professional and friendly staff are always available to help make your event a success. Whatever your requirements we look forward to meeting, and being of service to, you and your

Oxford has been a centre of learning for seven centuries and continues this tradition today. In addition it is a centre of great historical interest and beauty, as well as being a thriving shopping

and social centre. It is a city where past and present exist side by side, where quiet and tranquillity are but a step away from the hustle and bustle of a busy, lively modern city.

Oxford has cinemas, theatres, typical English pubs and a vast range of restaurants providing cuisine for all tastes and all pockets. In addition there is an ice rink, swimming pools and in the

summer that most famous of all Oxford’s activities, punting.

Oxford Brookes University and the City

Oxford Brookes University has three campuses, Headington, Harcourt Hill and Wheatley, where rooms are available for your booking. Each of these has an overhead projector, screen and whiteboard but, should you require, more audio visual aids are available for use at your event, these are:

We can provide a high standard of catering from tea and coffee to formal dinners. Alternatively, at each of the campuses, there is a refectory where food and drink can be purchased (these have limited opening times out of term time). The map below shows where our different campuses are located:

Conference Information

The Headington Campus is made up of two sites, the Gipsy Lane site and the Headington Hill site. It has an extensive range of lecture theatres, meeting halls and seminar, committee and teaching rooms of varying sizes which can meet the needs of any conference of course. The rooms vary in capacities from our smallest that will comfortably seat 12 people to our Main Hall which can seat 360 people in a theatre style, or which can be used as an exhibition hall. The large refectory offers a range of cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere and JB’s coffee shop is available for specialist coffee and snacks. Also available on site:

• Headington Hill Hall

Headington Hill Hall provides an elegant setting for any function, from business meetings to weddings. Three rooms are available at the Hall, the Music, Green and Dining room, which can all be linked together if required, a perfect way to enjoy dining or informal gatherings. Separately, the Music and Green Rooms will comfortably accommodate 26 people in a boardroom style, or up to 40 in a theatre style. The Dining Room can accommodate 14 people boardroom style and up to 20 theatre style.

The Refectory

The Wheatley Campus is set in 65 acres of parkland, approximately seven miles east from Oxford

City.

Being self contained, the campus is ideally suited to running conferences and courses and benefits from a wide choice of seminar, meeting and lecture rooms which can suit any size group.

Wheatley has two main large halls available for lectures or large conference events. The Dora Cohen Hall has a capacity of 250 and is located close to the entrance of the campus and near the

refectory. EL19 is a room that can accommodate 275 people and is located in the ‘Entrance Lodge’, which is again near the entrance and refectory. Smaller rooms such as EL20 can be used

for smaller groups and are perfect for use as breakout rooms.

The refectory has just been modernised and offers a range of cuisine and a specialist coffee shop. Vending machines are also available throughout the campus.

All the rooms can be set out as you require and audio and visual equipment can be arranged, as outlined in the first page of this brochure, as can a full range of catering services.

Wheatley also has sports facilities available, which include a fitness trail, tennis courts and football grounds.

The Main Entrance

The Harcourt Hill Campus is located at approximately 2 miles to the west of Oxford. The campus, which is also known as the Westminster Institute is at the top of Harcourt Hill and offers stunning

views of the dreaming spires of Oxford.

Harcourt Hill benefits from a large range of rooms which can accommodate most conference

requirements. The Theatre is a beautifully presented hall with a capacity of 250. Harcourt Hill also has a large number of breakout rooms with capacities ranging from 25 to 80. All rooms can be set out to meet your specific requirements, with audio visual equipment and catering as you wish. The large refectory has a variety of choice and there is a selection of vending machines

around the campus.

If out of term time, residential conferences and courses are accommodated on one of our seven halls of residence. Most are located within easy walking distance of the Headington campus. If your event is at the Wheatley Campus, then ‘Lady Spencer Churchill Hall’ is located on site. If your event is at our Harcourt Hill Campus then we also have a purpose built building, ‘Z-House’, specifically for conference bookings which can be used all year round.

Clive Booth Hall is within easy walking distance of the Headington Campus. The accommodation is set out in flats of 5 or 6 en-suite bedrooms with shared kitchen, living and dining rooms. The typical bedroom size is 2.7 m X 4m. There is a laundrette on site.

• Crescent Hall Crescent Road, OX4 2NS

Crescent Hall is located approximately two miles from the Headington Campus on a direct and regular bus route. The accommodation is set out in flats of 6 or 7 bedrooms with shared a shared kitchen and bathrooms. The typical bedroom size is 2.3m X 3.65 m. There is a laundrette on site.

• Harcourt Hill Hall Botley, OX2 9AT

Harcourt Hill Hall is located at the top of Harcourt Hill approximately 5 miles from the Headington Campus on a direct bus route to Headington and Wheatley. The accommodation is set out in groups of 11 bedrooms with shared kitchen and bathrooms. The typical bedroom size is 4m X 3m. On site there is a sports hall, swimming pool, bar and chapel.

• Harcourt Hill Hall (Z-House) Z-House is set out as a large house with good sized en-suite bedrooms, shared kitchen and communal area.

Lady Spencer Churchill Hall is situated in the grounds of our Wheatley Campus. Accommodation is set out in flats with shared bathroom and kitchen. A bar and social lounge is on site as is a laundrette. The typical bedroom size is 2.74m X 3.96m

• Morrell Hall: John Garne Way, OX3 0TU

Morrell Hall is within easy walking distance of the Headington Campus. The accommodation is set out in flats of 5 or 6 bedrooms with shared kitchen/communal area and bathroom. The typical bedroom size is 3.2m X 2.4m. On site there is a laundrette, bar and social area.

• Paul Kent Hall James Wolfe Road, OX3 2WA

Paul Kent Hall is located approximately 1.5 miles from the Headington Campus and is on a direct bus route. Most bedrooms are en-suite and are set out in groups of 6 and 9 with shared kitchens. The typical room size is 5m X 2 m. On site there is a laundrette and a communal room.

• Warneford Hall: Roosevelt Drive, OX3 7XA

Warneford Hall is located at the end of Gipsy Lane and is within easy walking distance of the Headington Campus. The accommodation is set out in flats of six bedrooms with kitchen and showers. The typical bedroom size is 2.43m X 3.35m. There is a laundrette on site.
