Global Young Scholars Conference

The Global Young Scholars Conference started out in 2014 as a platform to bring

young scholars from Fudan University and the ten University of California campuses

together to present their current research. Now it has expanded to include young

scholars from other universities at home and abroad who study contemporary Chinese

society, politics and economics.

The annual gathering provides a great opportunity for the young scholars to exchange

ideas, network with each other and develop fruitful collaborations in the future.

Fudan Development Institute

Fudan Development Institute (FDDI) was founded in 1993. Aiming at policy and

strategy research on key issues relevant to the development of Shanghai and China, it

is striving to be a comprehensive platform for humanities and social sciences studies of

Fudan University, and a professional high-end think tank in China.

Fudan-UC Center on Contemporary China

The Fudan-UC Center on Contemporary China is the first academic institution

established by a major Chinese university in cooperation with a leading North American

university. The Center serves to connect all ten campuses of the University of California

system with Fudan University in Shanghai. It brings together leading research scholars

from both universities for conferences and lectures, and facilitates cooperative research.

The Center promotes deeper mutual understanding between the United States and

China.
