Baden-Powell House and Gilwell Park are The Scout Association’s two conference centres – both unique but both run with the same principles of value, service and versatility.

Everything we do is informed by our 100 years’ knowledge and experience of delivering quality, people-centred solutions and inspiring individuals. Our ethos is to help everyone achieve their full potential, whether that is a young person involved in Scouting, our staff members across every aspect of The Scout Association or a company using our facilities for team building or meetings.

One detail that makes both Baden-Powell House and Gilwell Park so special is our people. We value our staff and understand that for our clients, having consistent access to individuals is key to a successful experience for both you and your guests. That is why we are here for your complete journey and not just the destination!

As a charity you can be assured that any income generated through our conference centres goes directly back into Scouting, benefiting young people across the UK and beyond. Furthermore, as a not-for-profit organisation, we are able to keep our prices low whilst still delivering first-class service and facilities.

Baden-Powell House is a modern purpose-built conference centre in the heart of London, well served by three tube lines as well as local bus services.

As a conference centre Baden-Powell House offers unparalleled value and facilities for its location with a selection of meeting rooms for between 2-50 delegates and a main hall with space for up to 300 people. One of our key features is our rooftop garden, offering the ideal space to enjoy an alfresco lunch after a busy morning seminar or evening summer barbecue.

Our meeting rooms are fully equipped with the latest AV facilities, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. A distinctive feature of our rooms is the ability to create a custom made space with a variety of room styles available and room dividers that allow two rooms to be opened up into one larger area.

Our experienced and knowledgeable staff are able to offer advice and guidance to help you create an event that is truly tailor-made to your own size, requirements and budget.

LOCATIONBaden-Powell House is situated in central London just five minutes walk from two tube stations (South Kensington and Gloucester Road).

Our modern and fully equipped meeting and conference rooms offer a relaxing and inspiring setting in the heart of London. Located in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea, landmarks such as the Science, Natural History and Victoria and Albert Museums, the Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park and Harrods are right on our doorstep. We are also less than 15 minutes’ walk (or one tube stop) from Earls Court and Olympia.

From the moment you first contact us your dedicated Conference Manager will be on hand to ensure your event runs smoothly and our flexible catering options and rooms mean that we can work with any budget or group size.

FACILITIESBaden-Powell House has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment to ensure that our rooms, facilities and outside spaces are as up to date as possible. Our purpose-built meeting and conference rooms and main hall can be set up according to your exact requirements for events anywhere between 2–300 people.

DINEWe offer a full catering service – everything from a finger buffet delivered directly to your meeting to a full sit down dinner.

We can serve food in your meeting room or, if you prefer, can arrange for your meal or buffet to be served in a separate function room or in our on-site restaurant.

Our team are adept at delivering a wide range of dining experiences, from barbecues to buffets, formal black tie dinners to fun themed events – just tell us what you would like and leave the rest to us!

CELEBRATEWith its location and facilities, Baden-Powell House is a popular venue for parties and events.

One of our main attractions is our large rooftop garden with magnificent views across South Kensington – ideal for summer barbecues and evening relaxation.

Our flexible rooms are available for any event from smaller functions to large dinner dances in our main hall – just let us know your requirements and we will ensure that you and your guests have a fantastic time.

STAYBaden-Powell House offers accommodation on site managed through our partner company Meininger Hotels, offering award winning 4-star en suite hostel bed and breakfast accommodation for up to 200 guests.

Your dedicated Conference Manager will arrange accommodation on your behalf, providing one point of contact to ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible.

The Meininger reception team are available 24 hours a day and all rooms are equipped with a TV, shower, toilet and air conditioning. Wi-Fi access is available throughout the building.

SPECIAL EVENTSOur team are well versed in planning and delivering bespoke events, from birthdays to book launches, wedding receptions to fashion shows – let us do the hard work while you sit back and enjoy your day.

Gilwell Park, just a short train or car journey from central London, is our conference and activity centre set in 108 acres of mature parkland, offering unparalleled surroundings and facilities.

The White House, a 17th Century Grade II listed building is the centrepiece of the estate. It has been sympathetically restored to offer modern facilities while still retaining its period character. As well as providing a stunning backdrop for any event, The White House offers space to relax in our lounge bar, a number of meeting rooms and high quality 3-star en suite accommodation across 41 bedrooms.

Gilwell Park also features a large contemporary purpose-built conference and training centre, The Colquhoun International Centre (CIC), which houses a selection of seminar rooms and training suites for 2–50 delegates and a large main hall for up to 250 people.

STAYGilwell Park boasts 41 3-star rooms in The White House, the Grade II listed centrepiece of the estate.

The 41 double, twin and single rooms are sympathetically restored and the building retains many of its original features. The White House contains several signature rooms which have been recently updated to offer boutique accommodation at affordable prices.

All rooms are en suite and equipped with internet access, colour television, power showers, tea, coffee and biscuits. Continental and full English breakfast is served every morning for residential guests.

For larger groups we also have three newly built lodges on site offering accommodation for up to 56 people.

CELEBRATEGilwell Park is the perfect setting for events of any size and our team will work with you to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

We are able to transform our large conference hall with an indoor marquee – perfect for wedding receptions, black tie events and sit down dinners.

The White House offers a number of smaller group rooms for parties and a licensed bar staffed upon request.

DINEFrom self service to silver service, Gilwell Park’s in house catering team will work with you to create the perfect menu for your event. Whether that is a delicious and well earned buffet after a busy morning meeting, or a stunning sit down dinner for a wedding reception or black tie event.

Our experienced chefs are skilled at building menus suitable for any budget or group size and all meals cooked are on site using fresh high quality ingredients.

The White House makes a striking backdrop for wedding receptions and our main hall can be transformed with a marquee-style decoration to convert the space into a classic banqueting venue for up to 180 seated guests.
