Program Description Margaret G. Stineman, M.D is a Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Biomedical Graduate Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and also works at the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics in Philadelphia. She received a B.F.A in Painting and Sculpture from the Tyler School of Art and a B.S. in Biology from Drexel University. She went on to become an M.D. at Hahnemann University. Dr. Stineman formed a patient classification method that is the foundation for Medicare’s payment system for inpatient rehabilitation along with various other systems and measures for addressing medical conditions and the effects they have. A biopsycho-ecological model is the basis of Dr. Stineman’s work under the view that interactions between people and the environment play a part in illness and disability. She has published numerous papers on her research and is positively influencing the lives of many people through her work. Drexel University College of Medicine Dual Degree Programs: Dean of Admissions Dr. Jane Clifford is hosing our conference’s first MD/PhD information session. As a researcher

UMDNJ Dr, Paula Fenner-Slade is the Director of Enrollment Services at UMDNJ, School of Osteopathic Medicine. Global Brigades Global Brigades is the largest student lead organization around the world. They have thousands of student volunteers who empower citizens in 3 developing countries. Students take on a week long brigade to help developing rural communities become better. Patrick McGee Patrick McGee is a long time friend of AMSA. He has struggled with AIDS for 20 years. Over the past 20 years, he describes his struggle with society and more importantly his own personal struggles with insensitive doctors. He will highlight the importance of a good doctor-patient relationship and leave behind a vision for future physicians in training.
