Architectural interest in Cubism centred on the dissolution and reconstitution of
three-dimensional form, using simple geometric shapes, exposed without theillusions of classical perspective
Buildings, based on Cubist principles, are designed as geometrical interlocking
shapes or quite simply as a single geometrical shape.
Each of the buildings has a basic geometrical design, often a cuboid shape.
Simplicity is often an overriding characteristic.

From the exterior, it signals and literally displays theaccessibility of the courts.
The working courts and offices are expressed as longrectilinear forms, articulated at each floor level, andprojecting at each end of the building as a variedcomposition of solid and void.
In side elevation, these elements collectively establish adynamic and distinctive building profile; in end elevation, they form a powerful sculptural interplay of light andshade, depth and complexity.
The architectural implication is that the courts are notforbidding or concealed, but open and accessible
