> Location Before starting any of the work, our specialist will determine the best place for your project considering the sun, wind

direction, level differences, as well as the town planning rules which may apply.

> Your pool design Thanks to our unique concept, you will have no limitations when it comes to choosing the shape, size and design

> Your Project We are at the stage where your dream will take shape. It is important to evaluate your needs : integrated steps, lighting system, liner selection, waterfalls... Your SIMA dealer will take the time to inform you on the practical and security aspects of your new pool.

Excavation

> Access Optimal access to the site requires a width of 11’. On the other hand, we are able to work in a more limited space, but using specialized machinery.

> Clearing - 1 meter more than the pool - This operation allows to create a space wide enough for the pool foundation. This space will be filled in with an ideal material for the pool backfill.

Ground Preparation

> Level Determine the optimal level before starting the construction by ensuring to maximize the natural ground drain off. A particular attention is given so as to harmonize the current work with the landscaping, as well as with the ground topography.

> Ground water control A particular attention is also paid to the water bypass control if necessary. This step is important in order to avoid an accumulation of water around the pool. A french drain is required to allow the evacuation of this water.

Structure

> Reinforcements and support of the sidewalk every 36” They solidify the panel joints and support the sidewalk so that it becomes an integral part of the structure.

Pouring of foundation

> Concrete belt This step can be compared to your house foundation. This belt is placed on the pool perimeter. A good foundation is important so that you may take fully advantage of your investment for years to come.

> Structure reinforcement The belt also plays a role in reinforcing the structure. It must be designed to support the pressure created by the water of the pool on the inner walls.

Pouring of concrete bottom

> Pouring of Concrete We use first quality concrete. According to the type of soil, we will recommend the best material to use in order to reinforce your concrete. This could imply the usage of wire mesh or of fiberglass being added to the concrete.

> Hand polished We use this traditional procedure for the finishing of the concrete bottom. Only an artisan can ensure the completeness of the spokes and slopes during this important step which optimizes the quality of the pool.

Coping

Pool backfill

> Sidewalk Foundation This step is important since it precedes the conception of your sidewalk. Throughout this step, our professionals will pay special attention to removing any pressure created on the plumbing and the circulation equipment, so that the soil may be stable.

> Choice of materials Your SIMA member will recommend you optimal materials which will be used for the structure backfill. These recommendations will take into account your soil, draining, as well as the capacity of the material to be compacted.

Sidewalk

> Harmonious design with your landscape In this step, it is important to be precise and meticulous . Not only is it important because we are at the finishing stages of the construction, but because we must ensure that there is sidewalk optimal drainage and that it respects the thickness

> Setting up the concrete We ensure that the concrete covers well the supports to guarantee the totality of the structure. Like for the bottom of the pool, the finishing is carried out by an artisan.

Liner

> Liner preparation before installation This step must be executed with meticulousness. Nothing is neglected: cleaning of the structure, polishing of the bottom, the surfaces must be perfect to receive your liner. A special attention is given to the liner ties, thus making sure it stays well in place.

> Setting up the liner The liner is designed especially according to the specifications of your pool. Only a professional can ensure that it is installed exactly in the precise place, especially in a pool that has several spokes. Thereafter, a particular care is taken when installing the openings such as lighting, water return, skimmer...
