HackathonAn event in which computer programmers and others
in the field of software development, like graphic designers, interface designers and project managers collaborate intensively on software projects [wikipedia]
Warm-upperformed before participating in technical sports or
exercising [wikipedia]

Why?– Comviq wants to be best on the market on data, apis and producing client-
side experiences – technology is part of being a ”modern price fighter”– Comviq need help from existing and new partners to improve– so
hackathons, meetups etc must be a core activity – We should also build a community within Kinnevik/Tele2 internationally as
well over time – so anyone is invited– Also focus of giving the developers much better financial incentives than
historically – developers on a piedestal

What to focus on?
– A superior customer experience the most important things
– Second is developer experience – we must have fun building it!
– Using websockets and Javascript innovations to enhance experience
– Continue exploring cababilities of Boostrap
– Start thinking in API, that we can expose for front-end applications/develoers
– Use cloud API and start experimenting with BigData in the Cloud such as Redshift – short-term
HTML, JavaScript, CSS
DIY/Proxy API

Test some cloud-based APIs!
– SendGrid (Email i molnet) – Pusher (Event Management i molnet)– Airbrake (Error Managment i molnet)– Stormpath (User Management i molnet)– Tropo (SMS/Messaging)

How? Bottom-up!– Big Data, API’s and client-side
development is a ”grassroot” movement– We need to support our developers and
our future data scientist/engineers to grow
– Become leading in web browser and web standards such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS …
– Build API that we ourselves build applications on – and open up for partners …
– Use our petabyte-size data streams in our daily work much more
– Marrying client-side, APIs and and Big Data is the 2013 challenge !
Developers and Product Managers that are data-driven
Data Scientists that builds models. API builders build APIs
Engineers/Infrastructure builds
technical infrastructure
Developers and product managers need data for ideas and development
Work with Hive etc to create models/data for product managers
We will get happier customer + make moneyHappier Customers
Big data sources, ex. IP traffic och CDRs
Build data environments without legacy thinking
Make data available for engineers and data scientists
