Computers have made a huge impact in the medical, and military fields.

From new ways to learn, to early cancer detection, to the various drones that are used by our military.

Computers play an important role the military, and the medical field as they are used to improve our lives and our society.

COMPUTERS AND THE MEDICAL FIELD

Computers are important to the medical field as they are used to detect cancer and other diseases and help run the functions of a hospital. New computers are being introduced with the potential to give doctors a new way to fight diseases.

The Watson ComputerThe Watson computer is a new IBM

cognitive system that doctors believe will be able to make a big difference in the way hospitals function

This computer takes a patient’s medical history to determine his condition and then creates a personalized treatment unique to the patient.

Why is Watson Important?Watson gives doctors a new way to fight

disease. Since nearly one in five diagnoses are incorrect, one in five patients are given the wrong treatment.

The whole point of Watson in the medical field is to give correct diagnostics and personalized treatment, helping to treat diseases and keep people healthy

Computers are now more important than ever in the medical field

# The people in Group A include those who believe hospitals would not be able to function without computers. This group accounts for 92.3% of the people voting.

# Group B includes people who believe that computers are important, but believe that hospitals would still be able to function without computers. This group accounts for 7.7% of the people voting.

# Group C includes the people that believe that computers are not important at all for a successful hospital. This group accounts for 0% of the people voting.

Computers and the MilitaryAnother way computers are making a difference in the world is by the way the keep us safe. Computers have been implemented in the military and now have been put to use in the defense of our country.

Why Are Computers Important to The Military?

Military intelligence relies heavily on computers. The military would be unable to run efficiently from countless locations without the use of computers.

Computers and Our Safety

• Soldiers interact with computers to gather intelligence, and analyze data, and do countless other things

• Computers are used to control a number of our weapons

• Missiles, drones, etc.

ConclusionComputers will continue to develop and be

able to assist us in many more ways than they already do. Both the medical and military fields rely heavily on computers and would be unable to function without them.
