computer hardware engineeringThe rapid improvements seen in computer technology are largely due to the work of computer hardware engineers. Computer hardware engineers research, design, develop, and test computer systems and by that they create rapid advances in computer technology, which shape the modern world. Many hardware engineers design non-computer devices that incorporate processors and other computer components and connect to the Internet. They may also perform some basic computer programming and test computer code.
