Pixel art is a form of digital art, created through the use of raster graph-ics software, where images are edited on the pixel level. Graphics in most old (or relatively limited) computer, console, graphing calculator and mo-bile games are mostly pixel art. Some traditional art forms, such as count-ed-thread embroidery (including cross-stitch) and some kinds of mosaic and beadwork, are very similar to pixel art. These art forms construct pictures out of small colored units similar to the pixels of modern digital computing. A similar concept on a much bigger scale can be seen in the North Korean Arirang Festival.

Pixel Art

Steam PunkSteampunk is a subgenre of science fiction or science fantasy that incorpo-rates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. Although its literary origins are sometimes asso-ciated with the cyberpunk genre, steampunk works are often set in an alter-native history of the 19th century’s British Victorian era or American “Wild West”, in a post-apocalyptic future during which steam power has main-tained mainstream usage, or in a fantasy world that similarly employs steam power. Steampunk may, therefore, be described as neo-Victorian.

Pixel Shaders In the field of computer graphics, a shader is a computer program that is used to do shading: the production of appropriate levels of color within an image, or, in the modern era, also to produce special effects or do video post-processing. A definition in layman’s terms might be given as “a program that tells a computer how to draw something in a specific and unique way”.

Shaders calculate rendering effects on graphics hardware with a high de-gree of flexibility. Most shaders are coded for a graphics processing unit (GPU), though this is not a strict requirement. Shading languages are usually used to program the programmable GPU rendering pipeline, which has most-ly superseded the fixed-function pipeline that allowed only common geom-etry transformation and pixel-shading functions; with shaders, customized effects can be used.

At this point, i used a single cube to create this model, I extuded it to create a simple plane wing. I also used the Chamfer Tool to create curves on the top of the plane.

At this point, I have used the extrude tool to create space inside the plane. I also added seats by extruding the model.

This is a documenta-tion of my first Plane model on 3DS Max. It contains screenshots of each step creating the model and a little discription on what is going on. At this point, I used the Chamfer tool to make the

seats rounded for extra detail

At this point i repositioned the wing, as i wasnt happy with the position, I changed this by just se-lecting the vertexes at the wing tip and just simpily move it At this point, I extruded the back part of the plane

to create the tail, I also moved ther vertex slighly up, similarly to the wing.

At this point, I perfected the tail of the plane; Moving the tail of the plane up and changing the length.

At this point, I used the extrude tool to create the plane tail. I used the connect tool to create a small rectangle to make it easier to extrude,

This is the point when my model is now.I have added an extra door and extended the interior, therefore making more room in the plane

At this point, I checked that my model is hollow, so it doesn’t cause problems when texturing

These are textures that i can made using CC Photoshop, I created Diffuse, Bump and Normal Maps for each picture; A Diffuse map is a tileable texture that difines colours. Normal and Bump maps are maps that effects light and fakes lighting.

My Unity world is very simple with a dusty texture, I did this because my theme is junk yard, and my unity should be made up of models, I raised and duplicated terrian to create a plain world ready for models i create in 3DS max to be used in the world,

I also added small details of water, that would be difficult to make in 3DS max.
