Sulphuric Acid.• H2SO4 is a strong mineral acid ,it is corrosive. It is

soluble in water at all concentrations. • Sulphuric acid has a lot of uses, Some uses include ore

processing, fertilizer manufacturing and chemical synthesis.

• A number of proteins are made of sulphur, containing amino acids (such as cysteine) which produce sulphuric acid when broken down or transformed by the body.

• Sulphuric acid is not naturally occurring so it is made up of chemicals .

Magnesium oxide• Magnesium oxide, or magnesia, is a white solid mineral

that occurs naturally as periclase .• It’s formula is MgO.• It is formed by an ionic bond between one magnesium

and one oxygen atom.• Magnesium oxide is made by burning magnesium which

makes a white powder , when magnesium burns it forms a very bright light and can damage the eyes .

• Magnesium oxide has some uses like insulating in industrial cables etc…

Nitro glycerine

• Nitroglycerin (NG), also known as nitroglycerine, trinitroglycerin and glyceryl trinitrate , is a chemical compound.

• It’s chemical formula is C3H5(NO3)3 and it has a melting point of 13.2 °C (55.76 °F)

• It is used for making explosives, especially dynamite. Nitroglycerin is also used in the medical industry to treat heart conditions.

• Nitro-glycerine is not naturally occurring ,a number of chemicals are used to make it .

Ethanoic acid

•Etanoic acid also known as acetic acid is an organic chemical (occurs naturally)

•It has a chemical formula of CH3COOH it’s melting point is 16.7 C ,it’s boiling point is 118 C.

•It is corrosive and can cause irritation to the eyes etc…

•Acetic acid is produced both synthetically and by bacterial fermentation.•Etanoic acid gives vinegar it’s sour taste and pungent smell

Silicone dioxide

• The chemical compound silicon dioxide), is also known as silica or Silox.

• Silicone can be easily found in the earths crust in crystalline form.

• Sand is silicone Dioxide ,this means it is naturally occurring.

• It’s chemical formula is SiO2.

• Silicone is used to manufacture products like glass ,Silica gel etc .

Titanium dioxide • Titanium dioxide also known as titanium oxide can be

found as 4 different types of minerals under the ground, this means it is naturally occurring

• When its is used as a pigment it is called titanium white ,it is memorable for it’s wide range of uses including ; paint, sunscreen ,food colouring etc…

• It’s chemical formula is TiO2
