    Composting with GORE Cover

means using the most up-to-datetechnology available, because it

    brings together various tech-

no logies that have hi therto

    appeared incompatible. Compo-

sting with GORE Cover is almost

    as economical as composting with

open heaps, and yet it is as safe to

    manage as enclosed systems using

    highly technological structures and

    complies equally with the require-

    ments of most licensing authorities.

This is precisely what makes it ideal

    for treating biological waste and

    yard waste where a first-class

    final product is required. The

    authorising bodies of many Euro-

    pean countries accept GORE Cover

as an enclosed system. Even the

    German authorities, general ly

    recognised as strict, have classified

    the GORE Cover composting sys-

tem as an enclosed system when itcomes to handling domestic waste.

As a result there are currently not

only plants wi th a smal le r

    throughput of 6,500 t/a operating

with our technology, but also much

    bigger plants licensed to operate

    in accordance with the Federal

    Imission Protection Law. The com-

bination of a membrane cover and

    controlled aeration allows areliable

process. A saffislent supply ofoxygen and a proper temperature

    are managment adiered

    by pressurised aera-

    tion, while at the same

    time minimiss ing

    odour and microbial

    emissions. Ultimately

    that leads to trouble-

    free operation of the

    plant even where the

    composition of the

    input varies and in

    al l weather conditions. Ideal

    composting conditions with mini-

    mum efforts lead to reduced

    composting times, saving the

    ope rato r space , e f fo r t and

considerable cost. In this way, our

    technology has brought about

    considerable increases in through-

put for many plants, yet using the

    same space.

    Using GORE Cover to compost

    biological waste and yard waste

    offers compliance with licensing

    requirements, operating safety, and

    cost efficiency, all in one!

Whether it is biological waste or

    yard waste composting with the

    GORE Cover system produces ideal

    composting conditions. It all leads

to increased throughput per m2 of

composting space, yet requiresrelatively small investment.
