Finance up to £10,000The Department of Energy and ClimateChange (DECC) aims to revolutionise theenergy efficiency of British properties.It plans to help home owners make energy-saving home improvements for no upfrontcost. From 2013, home owners may beable to get finance of up to £10,000 toinsulate their homes. Dura Cladding hasalso been designed to be used inconjunction with external wall insulation forhouses with a solid non insulated wallstructure.

Recent press also suggests that homeowners who insulate their homes, could beoffered a reduction in stamp duty or counciltax.

As the UK benefits from the costs savingsassociated with externally insulated walls,Dura Cladding can provide a cost-effectiveand easy-to-install solution for transformingthe appearance of any building at the sametime as achieving energy cost savings.

Installation systemComposite Cladding is generally installedonto 50mm x 38mm timber battens screwedto the wall and spaced at 600mm centres.

When used to cover exterior walls, thebattens need to be increased in depth to100mm.

This allows insulation of up to 75mmthickness such as Celotex FR5000 PIR orsimilar foam to be fixed to the wall betweenthe battens, allowing the required 25mm airgap. Dura Cladding can then be fixed withscrews in the usual way to create the finalexterior appearance.

This insulating system benefits houses,barns, outbuildings, offices, factories andcommercial buildings, providing vastlyimproved insulation, as well as transformingthe appearance.
