Box 9000, Music Department, Dr. Tatiana Grecic Dutoit, Las Vegas, NM 87701 [email protected] ABSTRACT Dr. Tatiana Grecic Dutoit, composer, pianist, and vocalist, presently teaching composition and theory at the New Mexico Highlands University, is offering the Composer’s Workshop as part of the 2012 Hawaii University International Conference. This would be an intermediate/advanced music workshop, based on any style of music, for instrumentalists, vocalists, and emerging young composers/song-writers, who have an existing work they wish to showcase, or composition in progress that needs to be critiqued or refined. Dr. Dutoit would give constructive advice and present various compositional devices according to each composition that is presented by participants of the workshop. She would also present some of her original works as a reference to various compositional techniques. The focus of the workshop would be on the development of ideas and various musical possibilities.
